My revenge for the Volkov’s will start from today, in fact from this moment onwards. I am waiting for Jade to arrive at the café we decided to meet in. He said to arrive at half-past six and now it’s ten minutes past seven. I look around the café and I feel uncanny. I don’t know why but something is unpleasant here. There are a few people here in the café. Jade and I decided to meet at the café in the evening in lieu of discussing the contract and the plan over lunch. Now, here I am waiting for him to arrive.
There is a man in black reading newspapers in the corner with a cup of coffee, I assume. He lowers the newspaper to pick the cup of coffee, he looks familiar to me. I have seen him somewhere but where? I look at him for a few more seconds then shift my gaze to the couple sitting at two tables to my left because I don’t want to look like a creep.
The girl is laughing about something the guy is saying and their han
Just as I was about to avert my gaze a car zoomed past us. It was surprising to see another car on the same road as us. This route only led to the mansion and hardly any cars passed this route. The mansion was now in full view, it was standing in its full glory with light shining from the insides of the mansion. The gates opened as our car came close by and we passed through them to the porch of the mansion.I looked at my watch and the time was now five minutes to nine. I hadn’t realized that I was twenty-five minutes late from the time Austin had ordered me to come back. I walked in confidently, the mansion was eerily quiet- not a single sound except for the sound of my heels clicking. The lights were switched on but not a single soul was seen around. This was not the usual, it was almost dinner time and not a single worker was spotted.I walked to the kitchen to see if there was anyone in there but surprisingly I found that empty as well. I looked around once
I watch as the clouds come in my view and the land below me shrinks and shrinks. The view is breathtaking from this height. I look out of the window until the plane tilts to the other side and I can no longer see the land but the sky and the setting sun.I look at the figure sitting in front of me with a glass of wine in his hands and looking at me but his mind seems somewhere else. I wave in front of my face but he does not respond nor blink. I don’t know what he is thinking. I mentally shrug and let him.I don’t know what Autin has seen in me that he claims me to be his. I don’t know if he is playing with me or if he is serious. I wouldn’t mind if he isn’t serious but my heart does not support my thoughts, they go against them. I don’t despise it when he claims me to be his. I don’t hate it when he gets possessive and controls me and my actions.I don’t know what he is doing to me. There are many things I want to
“Here is your coffee, Sir,” I said and he looked up, narrowing his eyes.“Sorry, Austin. Here is your coffee, Austin,” I repeated and kept his coffee on his desk right next to papers. “So, what are you doing?” I sat down in one of the vacant chairs in front of his desk.“I’m thinking of letting the deal go,” He said, then he explained it further, “The deal with the Knights,” He said. He can’t let that happen. This is the deal the Jones require and if they get this deal my plan would fail; all the hard work I have done till now will be of no use. Austin was blankly staring at me as if he was in his thoughts but his eyes were trained on me.“Austin, I think you should work with them. Our company will gain a lot from this. It’s a million-dollar deal and we will be able to expand our business all over Italy and other countries. We will get many opportunities if we sign this deal and
Today is the conference meeting with Mr Knight. Along whatever it was a couple of days ago, he’d decided to meet all the companies that had proposed to sign a deal with them and will arrive here at any moment.Austin had called me in his cabin this morning regarding the meeting today. When I entered his office he was standing there with a bouquet of multi flowers. I was surprised when he smiled and handed those to me. He didn’t even say anything at first but kissed me like we were a couple. I know I’m crossing the line by saying this but ‘Everything is allowed in love and war’, and I'm afraid I have taken that too seriously.“This is for you…” he did not complete his sentence but looked at me, dipped his head down and kissed me again.“Thank you, Austin, for these lovely flowers,” I said. He was trying his best to not laugh but he failed. Why was he even laughing? I looked at him as if he was crazy; we
I could hear Isabella and me screaming for him to stop. The scenes of Liam hitting my sister and me with a belt, or a whip kept on playing in my mind; the way he made us feel like the dirt he was.“No! Please stop! Please, we are sorry! I did not know-” I said as someone shook my shoulders. I could hear Isabella scream as she was beaten to unconsciousness by Liam. I had tried to stop him but he had pushed me, making me fall on my back.“Ma- Annabella! Annabella, what happened? Baby, look at me,” Austin said as he brought me back from the haunting memories. When I looked at him, he looked relieved, concern etched in his eyes. He pulled me into his chest and rubbed my back soothingly.“It’s okay. Breathe in and out,” He said and I did as he said.I did not know what I would have to deal with when I planned to seduce him and make my way to my goal. I did not know this would get this serious, this is just hilarious. I
I was shocked. It would be an understatement. I did not think this could happen with just a small reply that I had given to Liam. I looked at Austin who was glaring as if what I had done was wrong. Well, it wasn’t wrong according to me and I did not know it could go this far. I hadn’t thought about this before answering him back.“-When asked Mr Jones regarding this matter he refused to accept that he had committed the crimes. He was also asked if he was the one who is in the pictures. He promptly declined, he said that it was someone framing him into this. Again when he was asked who he thought could blame him for such a hideous crime. He named only one person- Austin Volkov.”My eyes widened when the anchor named him, she then further continued.“He also showed us a short conversation between them through email, and here is the screenshot-” A screenshot appeared on the right side of the screen. ”He had asked
“Are you okay? What happened?” Austin came running into my room and looked around the room as if finding the cause of the noise, then his eyes settled on me and then looked down. “How did it happen?” He asked.“Yeah. I was just turning around then somehow the glass of water fell from the table,” I said as I motioned to the place where the glass of water was just a few minutes back then down at the floor. “Anyways, I will clean it. It won’t even take a few minutes. I’m sorry just a few more minutes then we can leave. For now can you please take my clutch and wait in the living room?” He nodded and then left after I handed him my clutch.I picked the big pieces of glass and threw them in the bag in my hands and just like that I cleaned the whole mess I created. After cleaning my room I stepped out of my room and walked towards the living room. Austin was furiously typing on his phone and when I cleared my throat
“What plan, Miss Smith?” I heard a very cold distanced voice speak from behind me. I froze in my place. This shouldn’t have happened!Right now, I was as frightened as a person with coulrophobia watching ‘IT’ for the first time. I would have won in Grandmother’s Footsteps if I was playing one. The mobile I was holding near my ears was taken; thankfully, Jade had hung up the moment someone made their presence clear behind me.I stayed the way I was fearing what he would do when he saw Jade’s name that I had saved as S.I.C- Second In Command- on the screen. I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I did not notice Austin coming even closer to me than he was. I felt his breath near my ears then he spoke- asking me the question I hoped he didn’t ask, I would have concocted if I hadn’t known of his anger issues.“What plan were you talking about?” He asked, eyeing the phone. I gulped then turned around wi
