Chapter One Hundred and Thirty Five

The next day, I got dressed and went down for breakfast. I was nibbling on some ginger cookies when I saw Rocco walk into the kitchen.

"You look like shit," I told him with a smirk.

He looked really hungover as he rubbed his face and groaned. His hair was a dark and rugged mess. He pulled down his shirt, as he muttered some curse words.

"I bet you miss drinking," he said, smirking back as he pinched the cookies from my hand.

"I don't. I don't even remember what it tastes like," I lied as I picked out another piece of cookie from the packet. He chuckled and leaned against the counter.

"You should take it easy, Sienna. What you did… it was dangerous," he said as he looked down at me. I knew he was serious. Concern flashed in his eyes.

I sighed and looked at him, my gaze dropping down to the floor. "I know, but it's Gabriel," I said.

I brushed my hair off my face and took a bite of the cookies. He didn't speak for a while, as he understood why I did what I did.
