"You understand, don't you?" I asked Javan as he stared blankly at me while I was explaining his schedule for the day. He was to take Delia to work, teach her to drive for some hours, and then drop her back at her apartment after closure.

"Yes, sir." He replied tiredly.

"What's with that look? You don't like being around girls or something? Or you just don't like her in particular?"

"Not that I don't like her. I just prefer being around you. It's less talking and more driving. She looks like a talkative, honestly." He complained and I chuckled lightly.

"It's just for a few days before I get her enrolled into a driving school."

"Okay, boss." He sighed and departed. Such a kid in an adult man's body. Lately, we had been getting along. I mean, it was just yesterday we began talking normally, and now, we relate as though we've been talking for months. He was always grumpy when speaking but blunt too.
