Chapter 06

Emilia roamed around the beach. Siya lang mag-isa at hindi na nag aksaya pa nang lakas na ayain ang asawa dahil una, busy ito sa telepono at alam niyang tungkol sa trabaho ang ginagawa nito. At pangalawa, hindi rin naman niya gusto ang makasama ito. She rather be alone as she enjoy the magnificent views in front of her.

Alam na alam naman niyang labag din sa loob nito ang tumuloy sa trip na iyon pero wala silang magagawa pareho kundi ang sumunod sa gusto ng mga magulang nila.

Alas tres na ng hapon at hindi na ganun katirik ng araw at dahil wala pa naman siyang gagawin ay naisipan na lamang n'ya ang mahiga sa sun lounger na nakapwesto malapit sa beach. She took off her cover up shirt, revealing her white bikini before lying down the lounger.

The place was nice and peaceful, dahil na rin sa iilan lang ang mga bisitang naroon. Kaya naman, hindi na niya maiwasan ang mapaidlip. At kung hindi pa lumamig ang pakiramdam n'ya sa paligid ay hindi pa siya magigising.

Madilim na nang magising siya, nagmadali pa kayang bumangon ngunit nang malingunan niya si Maverick na nakahiga rin sa katabi niyang lounger, ay naupo na lang siya.

Sa pag-upo ay nalaglag mula sa dibdib n'ya ang cover-up na hinubad nya. Agad n'ya iyong hinablot at itinakip mula sa kanyang dibdib at habang ginagawa iyon ay pinapanood niya kung lilingunin siya ni Maverick na hindi naman nito ginawa.

"Kanina ka pa ba dyan?" She asked him, fixing herself.

"Almost an hour." Sagot naman nito, hindi parin siya nilingon at diretso lang ang tingin sa hawak nitong ipad.

"Anong oras na ba?" She asked again, putting on her cover-up.

"Nearly six in the evening," sagot ulit nito. He put down his ipad before turning to face him."We should go back now for our dinner," sabi pa nito.

Agad naman siyang tumango at tumayo. "Sige." Sagot n'ya at sumunod nang maglakad na ito pabalik.

She was just following Maverick as it headed at the restaurant of the resort. It was a buffet kaya sa pila ng pag kain agad sila dumiretso. She took a plate and lined up in the pasta lane and got some Fettuccine Alfredo and garlic bread before looking for a table. Maverick followed her with his plate full of different kinds of seafood.

"Iyan lang kakainin mo?" Tanong nito nang mapansin ang plato n'ya.

She shrugged. "Obviously." Irap n'ya at hindi na pinansin ang panunuri nito sa kanyang pagkain

Bigla naman siya nitong nilapagan ng hipon sa kan'yang plato, balat na at isusubo na lang n'ya. Ibinalik n'ya naman agad iyon.

"I'm allergic to seafoods." Sabi n'ya.

Maverick arched his brow and said, "Kawawang nilalang." He even shrugged.

"What?" She asked, brows were creased from what he said.

"You're missing a lot just because of that allergies of yours. Kawawa." Ulit pa nito.

Inirapan n'ya naman ito kahit may maliit na ngisi sa gilid ng mga labi. Seriously, kawawang

nilalang? Ano siya bata? She said to herself.

"That's just a food, how can I be kawawa?" Ani naman n'ya.

Maverick shrugged. "Because you're a weak human for having allergies over delicious food." sagot naman nito.

Hindi naman na n'ya napigilan pa ang matawa sa mga pinagsasabi nito. "What kind of wordings do you have, Engineer De Chavez? Ano, bata ka ba?" Ani n'ya.

Maverick rolled his eyes. "Kumain ka na nga lang," utos nito.

Natatawang inilingan n'ya na naman ito at nagpatuloy na sa pagkain. Minsan ay pinapanood n'ya rin itong sarap na sarap kumain at hindi n'ya maiwasan ang mainggit. He devoured on his foods as if that was his first meal on century. Napakatakaw.

"There will be a fire dance at the shore. Manood tayo?" She asked him after their dinner, sounding really excited.

Maverick arched his brow. "Hindi ka pa ba nakakapanood ng ganun?" He asked her.

She shook her head. "I was too busy to have time for things like that," she answered.

Because honestly, it was her first time to go on a trip that wasn't business related. Yes. Though the reason for her marriage to Maverick was purely business, she didn't consider going on this trip with him as part of it.

She knew well that Maverick isn't pleased with the idea and will never do things against her will, making her feel at ease and relaxed.

For the first time as well, there was someone who wouldn't take advantage of her.

"That's impossible." Maverick said.

She rolls her eyes. "Edi huwag kang maniwala. You could just say 'no' if you're not interested." She said.

"I didn't say I'm not interested," he answered. "I just can't believe that you, a daughter of a wealthy family, have not experienced things like that." He said.

She shook her head. "There's still a lot of things you don't know about me, Engineer De Chavez." She just said and continued eating.

It was a secret to all who she really is. Everyone thought that she's a legitimate child and her father's wife is her mother. For them, her identity is the biggest scandal the family cannot take in when people learn about it.

"What else do you want to do?" Maverick asked.

She shook her head. "I just want to see the fire dance," she replied.

Maverick shrugged and asked, "Do you want to go to their open bar after the show?"

"Okay," she answered.

That's what they do after they're done with their dinner. They went to the beach again to watch the fire dance.

The show will last for an hour at ilang minuto pa lamang simula ng magsimula ang show ay manghang-mangha na siya.

"Para kang bata," Maverick commented.

Inirapan naman n'ya ito ngunit hindi na sumagot pa. She's too fascinated to even mind Maverick's mocking.

"Come here," sabi nito tapos ay hinila sila papunta sa harapan nito.

Nagtaka naman siya kaya kinunutan n'ya ito ng noo. "What are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm doing you a favor, Emilia. Guys behind us are gawking at you." Sagot nito. "Stop assuming things," sabi pa nito.
