17. Save me

"So how was the birthday party? When did you return?" I asked Ty as I drove the both of us to school the next morning.

"It was great. Corey didn't really expect it. But we returned soon after cutting the cake since we have practice today," he replied.

"Oh..why couldn't that jer..I mean Asher just cancel today's practice? He is the captain, right?" I asked. If he canceled practice, I also didn't have to go to school now.

"We have an important match coming next week. We need to practice hard," Ty replied.

"Oh.." I hummed.

The ride was silent for the next few minutes. Ty had his eyes closed and his head leaned against the window. Seems like he didn't get enough sleep yesterday.

But suddenly he sat up straight and asked me something.

"Carrie, Aaron is really changing school?" I was almost taken aback. So he actually cares about Aaron, although he wouldn't admit it.

"Why? You said it's good," I said.

"Er..but.It's.." Ty stammered looking out of the window while I chuckled
