Elena swiftly imputed the password to her apartment door as she felt the pee she was trying so deeply to suppress threaten to explode out of her.

Dropping her hand bag and other things she was with on the apartment floor as soon as the door opened and dashed into the nearest restroom close to the door, she heard a faint door close somewhere inside the apartment.

"You need to stop this habit of holding your pee just because you are coming home." She heard her roommate's voice and she slowly walked out of the restroom and dragged herself to where she had previously dropped her things and proceeded to pick them up before walking to the kitchen to be greeted by her best friend Carolina.

"You know you could have just stopped at a gas station to use the restroom right." Elena could hear the sarcasm dripping from her voice making her just roll her eyes.

"I was on my way home so why bother myself?" She walked past Carolina who was dressed in a pink short and a gray sweatshirt with her long brown hair dangling across her back and was busy looking for God Knows what in the refrigerator.

Elena walked straight to the kitchen sink and began washing her hands. Turning back when she was done to Carolina's direction, who had already found herself an apple and was slowly munching on it.

A bit of silence was beginning to evolve until Carolina broke the silence,

"Is your new patient really going to be Ciro Russo?"

The question earned an eye roll from Elena almost immediately. It was as though she was waiting for the question to creep out of somewhere.

"News surely spreads like fire at that hospital." Elena walked to the refrigerator and picked an apple from inside and rested on it to face Carolina who was now sitting on one of the kitchen stools.

"That hospital is not so large for an interesting news like that to go unheard." Carolina replied.

Carolina was a psychiatric nurse who also works where Elena works. They had been best friends since medical school and ended up getting employed at the same hospital hence why they are living together.

"Well, the news is true. Director Henry appointed his case to me." Elena said.

"You are going to take it?" Carolina interjected almost immediately.

"Why wouldn't I? I never reject a case or client so I'm definitely not rejecting this one." She replied pretending to be ignorant of what Carolina meant.

"Elena, he is a fucking psychopath. A deadly criminal for that matter. He is dangerous." Carolina stated almost as if checking if Elena had probably forgotten those facts about the guy.

"Yes, and he has psychological issues. He is still a patient and he deserves to be treated."

Elena just earned a dead stare from Carolina who looked at her as if she was missing her head.

"Why are you doing this? I know you aren't doing it because of money. Fuck the money! How much is Henry even going to pay for this case or talk less the government is going to pay. I also know you aren't taking it for the recognition from it, you are already known as one of the best Psychiatrists in California." Carolina spoke again.

"Fuck the money! His case file was interesting and his personality sounded crazy and fun. I wanted to see it for myself. I wasn't going to let the fun walk past me right."

Elena heard Carolina sigh loudly enough to fill the kitchen.

" Why do I feel you have made up your mind and no one can stop you from the case?"

"You know me too well. I wasn't planning to get convinced from my decision and even my parents can't stop me from taking it, Incase you are planning to call my mum later." Elena teased making Carolina laugh.

She knew Carolina was definitely not going to just forget about the whole topic without a fight. She was sure she was going to receive a call from her mum before the end of the day about how dangerous Ciro is and reasons why she needed to drop his case.

"You are really crazy. I wonder how we are friends." Carolina replied, shaking her head.

"Because you love me too much and you can't live without me."

"Just be careful, I don't want you to hurt yourself,we all know Ciro Russo is extremely crazy, deadly and dangerous." Carolina stated with worry laced thick around her words.

"I know. I will be careful Miss Carolina. You don't need to worry so much." Elena assured.

She was happy her best friend worried about her but she knew Carolina knew she wasn't going to change her mind about the case. It was impossible.

"Well on a normal note, a little bird sent a little something to you." Carolina teased.

"If it's from Lucas I don't want to hear about it or even see it." Elena said.

"Elena, that's unfair. Why don't you just give the guy a chance. It's been over a year now since he asked you out."

"The guy sends gifts almost every day and he is sweet and handsome also." Carolina said.

"I'm not interested in this conversation. Yes the guy looks all handsome, cute and every other thing but he just doesn't look fun. I can't be in a boring relationship, it's not my cup of tea."

"I know, I know but at least give him a chance. You never know, you might end up liking him at the end of the day." Carolina said.

"Chance is not in my dictionary. Oh! Before I forget, I will pretend I didn't see you and Dr Christopher entering that locker room this afternoon" Elena smirked widely.

"I don't know what you are talking about. I think It's time to go to my room, I suddenly feel sleepy." Carolina immediately sprung up from where she was sitting and rushed out of the kitchen with Elena's loud giggles following after her.

Elena panted heavily as she tried to stop herself from laughing then suddenly Ciro's file appeared in her mind making her smirk and she continued to munch on the second apples she had picked from the refrigerator before.

I can't wait to meet you Ciro Russo!
