chapter 14: Jeremy

Nicole did not count the cash, she panicked and her first reflex was to just pack everything and rush out of the place. It was obvious that he was hiding something from someone, and that was why she had returned to uncover the mystery behind who wanted her family dead. Once she got back to the hotel, she decided to call Henry but when she reached out for her phone in her purse it was no where to be found.

“Where did I keep it?” she pondered to herself. She could remember using it back at the apartment as a make shift flash light, “Oh no! Maybe I must have forgotten it back there,” she said to herself, she would have to return the next day to find her phone because that was the only way she could get across to Henry.

Nicole not knowing what next to do, pulled out her dad’s personal diary from the bag. She was a bit reluctant to read the diary since she knew that it would probably show her hidden parts of her dad that she never knew, that might get to her emotionally but it was som
