Chapter 21

Xavier looked over at me and rubbed his hands together. “Of course. Why don’t we go to my office to discuss this further?” He stood and motioned for me to follow him. We entered the house, and it was clear that some sort of struggle took place within the house, as many of the walls were damaged and furniture was broken. “I hope to one day to fix up this house. It is a shame how damaged it is.” He led me to an office, located not too far from the front entrance.

As I entered the office, I noticed that there was a woman already in the office. She was not a wolf but there was definitely something supernatural about her. Perhaps she was a witch? She was breathtakingly beautiful. She had long, wavy hair that fell nearly to her waist. Her skin was a tanned canvas. Her eyes were so light blue they almost appeared to be white.
