"Wait" I shouted and he halted.
There was no way I could give him up without a fight.
"What?" he turned to look at me with an annoyed look on his face.
I walked towards him with a forced smile on my face. "I know all of this is crazy, but..."
"Well yes, it is," he snapped at me impatiently.
I swallowed hard. "Give me a minute, just one minute" I begged
He sighed in frustration, looking around to see if we were drawing any attention. "What do you have to say?"
"Thank you" I breathed a sigh of relief with a quick smile on my face. "You met Kira when you were 19. You loved her and she loved you too. I'm Kira but in a different body. I got into an accident and I woke up like this" I paused to catch my breath because I was talking too fast. "I promise I'm not bluffing and I'm not crazy. It's true"
"What nonsense" he scoffed, looking at me like I had lost my mind.
"Kira is your mate Austin"
The moment I said that, he was stunned. He grabbed me by my hand and started dragging me to God knows where. I didn't try to stop him. I let him take me anywhere he wanted to. We got to a more secluded place and he released my hands.
I was about to speak again, but he pinned me against the wall so quickly, even faster than my breath. I wasn't sure if he was angry or confused, but his eyes held something. For the first time, I felt scared of my mate
"What do you know about mates?" he spoke in my face, not caring if I was scared at all.
A mating bond was something only werewolves knew about. He was surely surprised to hear it from a crazy human girl.
"A lot," I said, looking him dead in the eye even though I was scared.
"I know about the red moon pack, I know Alpha Stanley. I know his mate Yvonne, I know you got your wolf at 19 instead of 18. I know you are the omega of your pack. Why can't you just believe me Austin?"
He was too baffled to speak. He got away from me, still looking at me in disbelief. He parted his lips but shut them back. He didn't know what to say.
"Who are you?" He asked with narrowed eyes.
"Kira," I said, praying inwardly that he remembered me.
"I don't know Kira. I've never met Kira in my life. I asked who are you?"
Tears welled up in my eyes, but I blinked rapidly to prevent them from falling. My heart shattered. He didn't remember me. There was no way he could remember someone who doesn't exist. It was impossible.
"I am Mirabel" I mouthed with a broken heart. I was trapped in this body and I had no idea how to go back to my other body. It was best if I began to accept my fate that I was now Mirabel and Kira doesn't exist.
"Now listen, Mirabel, I don't want to see you anywhere close to me. I don't want to set my eyes on you. If I do, it will be bad for the both of us" he warned gruffly then bent to pick up the bag he earlier tossed to the floor and turned to leave.
"But I was right, wasn't, " I asked, but he didn't give me a response.
The moment he left, I slipped to the floor. My eyes became wet with tears. This time I didn't blink them back. I let them flow down my Cheek. "Katrina" I called out to my wolf, but as I expected, no reply. That didn't stop me. "I'm scared. So scared. Please come back to me. I don't understand what is going on. I am so confused" I wept, talking to Katrina who chose to stay silent.

"How on earth is it even possible to do all that homework in just one night? I can't believe that man" Christine complained in a pissed tone. "I wasn't even done with my project and he just dumped this on me. It's just so... " She turned to look at me, who walked beside her with my mind somewhere else. "God Mirabel are you even listening?"
"What?" I turned to look at her, confused.
"You weren't listening"
"Oh," I mumbled. "I'm sorry about that"
"What are you thinking about anyway?"
I didn't answer her. Instead, my face lit up when an idea came to me. "Christine can you come with me? I have to be somewhere"
"Did you not hear that I have tons of homeworks to do?"
"Come on, I swear it won't take much of your time"
Since I couldn't get what I wanted from Austin, the only option I had left was to go to the pack house and tell Alpha Stanley what happened. There was no way he wouldn't remember me since he was the one who sent me out of the pack that night and he was an Alpha, so it was possible that this strong spell that seemed to be on everybody might not be on him.
Hattie's POV"Can you slow down a bit?!" Christine shouted behind me, but I wasn't planning on stopping, running as fast as the wind, but I still felt slow because I was without my wolf I wasn't supposed to show her the pack house, but at this point, I didn't care. Nothing made sense to me and the only thing I cared about was finding an explanation for all this. Even though I hated Alpha Stanley, it wasn't going to stop me from seeking his help. "What?!" I exclaimed in disbelief when I got to where the pack house was supposed to be. I was too stunned to speak. "What is it?" Christine asked as soon as she was able to get to where I was. It wasn't there. The pack house was gone. I was about to panic when I suddenly remembered that wolves use a certain power to hide their pack house from humans. Since I was an ordinary human and didn't have the eyes of a wolf anymore, I couldn't see it. "Fuck" I cursed under my breath. "Fuck!" This time I screamed out in anger. "This is the end Chris
Kira's POV. "Mirabel where have you been?" Rebecca yelled at me as I ran upstairs. "Out for a stroll" I voiced out from where I was, but she wasn't satisfied. "No no no Miss. You are not allowed to go out on a stroll when you just got out of a coma" I heard her march upstairs. "Mirabel, you wait right there" Did she realize she was talking to a fully grown 21-year-old woman? My inner self screamed in fury, but I was able to keep calm as I turned to look at her, trying to keep my cool. "Where have you been?" "I already told you" "Don't lie to me" she warned and I rolled my eyes at her. "I went to the woods with Christine. What? I can't spend some time with nature?" I asked in a pissed tone She sighed, placing her hand on her head as she looked at me in exhaustion. "You should have told me. I was worried sick" she said with softened eyes. I immediately felt guilty for being mean to her. "Yeah I know" "And don't leave Cosmos hanging next time," she warned me. "If you don't want
Kira's POV As the lecturer taught, I kept my eyes transfixed on Austin. He listened with keenness without any idea that I was gawking at him. I couldn't peel my eyes off him. We weren't mates anymore, but I still felt that connection. No matter how long the distance between us was, I still felt very close to him. "Hey" Christine nudged me from the side and I turned to look at her. "You are really into this boy" "No, I'm not" I scowled, shrugging as I looked at the lecturer. "Of course" she rolled her eyes. "Now I know why you wanted to take advanced classes so much" "Cut it out Christine" I frowned at her. I could deceive her, but I couldn't deceive myself. "There's no point hiding. If you seriously like him, why don't you just go talk to him?" I shuddered at the thought of that. Days ago, I would have gladly done that, but now, I couldn't because I was scared of him. The way he looked at me with his cold eyes always had a way of sending a cold shiver down my spine. It wasn't
Kira's POV He stormed out, leaving me puzzled. I looked around to see if there was anyone in the toilet before leaving. He acted so strangely, offering me help and then leaving so suddenly. He could have just let me be, rather than giving me false hope that I was getting a step closer to convincing my mate. "Hey Mirabel" someone called me from behind and I turned, knowing it was Christine. I didn't bother to hide the pain in my eyes. There was no point. "I have been looking for you everywhere," She said in a worried tone. I couldn't help but wonder why she cared so much about me when I wasn't worth it. I fucking called her a red, blonde potato days ago, which I didn't apologize for, but she still found the need to stick with me. "Well how did it go?" she beamed with excitement. "Bad" I pointed at my wet hair and watched as her eyes widened in astonishment. "Woah, he did that?" "No he didn't, I did" She was taken aback. "Care for an explanation" "I was going to dump a can of
Kira's POV I clutched my purse to my side as I walked down the school foyer. I wasn't interested in attending any lectures today. What happened yesterday gave me a cue that my powers were still in me. I just needed to find a way to unravel it. In my old self, I read a lot about witchcraft and sorcery. It didn't give me new powers, but it did help me focus and connect with my powers. As I looked at the books on the shelf, I sighed in frustration. None of the books were promising at all. Physics, chemistry, and biology, none of them had what I was looking for."You don't seem impressed "I heard a voice from behind and I turned to see who it was.It was a black-haired, handsome pale-skinned, hazel-eyed guy, leaning against the shelf opposite me. I didn't know all things, but I sure knew he wasn't the type to be in a library. Hot guys hated libraries."Not at all""What are you looking for?" he walked towards me and began scanning the shelf with me. "I can help""Well, you already are"
Kira's POVI couldn't focus on the book I was reading because I kept thinking of the guy I met at the library Ken. He knew me as Kira even though I didn't tell him who I was and he acted so weird. I was confused. I didn't know how to contact him. Maybe I shouldn't have let him go. Now I had a lot of questions. If he knew me as Kira, then he might know how the body swap happened. But how would he know? Was his telekinesis aiding him?"Stop thinking Kira, focus," I hit my head with my palm. I was with the book, but I wasn't in the library. I snuck it home despite the warning he gave me. I planned on taking it back when I was done. There was no I would be casting spells in a library even if it was deserted.I was in the school toilet. Weird, but that was the only secretive place I could find to hide from the whole school and most definitely Christine. She was basically everywhere.I began to mutter some spells I found in the book, but it felt like I was speaking gibberish. None of it mad
"Hey, ken! Come back here!".I screamed running towards him. I was going to fight him with every strength in my body until I got that book back. I was pretty sure he heard me, but he continued walked like he didn't. I jumped in front of him, panting very hard. My new body wasn't fit at all. "What is it?" "You heard me calling, didn't you?" "I did" "And you continued walking?" "I don't see why I have to listen to you" I rolled my eyes at him. There was no way I could get the book from him because he was much stronger than I am. The only choice I had was to beg for the book if at all I wanted it. "Can you give me the book back?" I paused. "please" He chuckled at my humility and I immediately regretted begging him. "What was that supposed to be? Your mother didn't teach you how to beg properly" "Don't be so difficult" I glared at him. "You never cease to amaze me" "I need this book" "To practice spells?" "Exactly, why won't you help me by giving me the book?" "Not a chanc
Kira's POV I turned to leave without asking him when he would be free. I was just too excited to spend some time with him. Now I have two tutorials. One for my powers, the other for my education. I looked forward to both. First I would go to Ken's house, to learn a thing or two. Then I will practice what I learned with Austin. I wasn't going to let the chance he gave me slip away. ***** I stayed quiet while eating dinner with my family. I wasn't hungry, but my overprotective mother wouldn't let me be. She was concerned about my health even though I was perfectly fine. "So" Madison, my sister began, dropping her fork on her plate. "We were thinking of sending you to Manhattan to study. We all think Starhill isn't good enough for you" "What do you mean?" I asked with a scowl on my face. "New York is a very... )" I didn't let her finish before cutting her short. "I'm not leaving los Angeles" This place was the only shot I had in getting my old self back and they wanted me to leave
