My door opens and shuts and my body instinctively tenses. It’s not my mates, but when I take in a deep breath I recognize the scent, but my body doesn’t relax. I sit up and see Sebastian walking towards me and I ask, “What are you doing? The twins will be furious to find you in here alone with me.”

He chuckles and shakes his head before running a hand through his auburn hair and says, “They sent me, Char, it’s fine.”

My eyebrows crinkle and I question, “They sent you?”

Sebastian chuckles as he nods, “Yeah, they did. They didn’t want to come in here because they didn’t want to scare you. They know you view me like a brother so they thought you’d be more comfortable with me than some stranger.”

I murmur, “That was very thoughtful of them.”

He nods, “They seem like good guys, Char. I’m happy for you.”

There’s butterflies in my stomach at the thought of them and for a moment I can’t help but wonder, will things be different than last time?
