Uncertain instinct

I could not bring myself to embrace the reality that what I took so casually was actually of so much value. In the hotel, after the first-night incident, I only took the bracelet because I felt it was the only thing he had that didn't possess any serious value. I could not have gone for his watch which looked crazily expensive.

Besides, I didn't want to be regarded as a thief. I simply loved the simple nature of the bracelet and decided to take it with me. It was supposed to be something to hold on to.

After losing my virginity to a person I knew absolutely nothing about, it was only okay for me to want something that I could hold on to to always remind me of my first night. They say the first nights were always memorable. I guess it was.

"Turn around," I said in a nervous tone.

Maxwell turned his head to look at me. "Turn around? You mean I should look at you."
