NicoAs soon as class is over I shift and rush to her house. Shaun is on duty today and he is already waiting for me. We sit and watch my mate cook dinner as she is swaying to whatever music she is listening to. She really caters to her father, plating his food for him and setting it at the table with a beer waiting. She removes her earbuds and makes her own plate. AhsokaWhen I wake up I find myself in a very bright room. My whole body hurts and I see that my leg is in a cast. Father has never hurt me so bad in years. I notice some male nurses in my room along with a doctor. I hear the machine beeping faster as my heart rate increases. I try to remove the IV in my arm but one of the nurses stops me. NicoMy heart nearly broke seeing her so frightened of me. Father said she reacted the same way to him and told me about her reaction when she was told she was coming to stay with us. NicoMom and dad arrive and we can hear Natasha speaking so I assume Ahsoka is with her. I can’t help but smile at her as Natasha wheels her into the dining room. I can feel her nervousness. Natasha wheels her next to Nadia which makes me grumpy but at the same time I can feel how at ease Ahsoka feels around her. Nadia’s gift has come in handy in keeping Ahsoka calm.“Ahsoka dear, our cook Nancy made shrimp and grits. Nadia told her it is your favorite,” says mom. NicoI know I probably shouldn’t be listening in to Ahsoka’s session but I want to know what is going on in her head. With Helen’s gift, Ahsoka will finally be able to say what she has been oppressing from herself. “Son what are you doing?”“I need to know so I can help her.”“You and I are alike more than you know.” Dad sits down next to me and listens in as well. Nico The first week has gone by quickly, without incident. She has warmed up to me and even sits next to me at lunch. Today is Friday and we both have mechanics together. I can’t believe how much she knows about cars. Nadia said she has shown our wolves a thing or two when repairing some of the jeeps. I am woken up music blaring. I look at my clock and find its six in the morning. We have plenty of time to get ready for school, why is anyone up this early. I head out into the hall and stop as I hear her laughter again. I peak into my sister’s bedroom and see the girls giggling as Natasha and Nadia are picking out their school outfits dancing to whatever song is on the radio. I now know why the music is so loud; it’s so my sister can feel the beat. I am not sure Ahsoka has ever been this happy before. I watch her as she tries to copy my sister’s dance moves and laughs when she messes them up. The sight of her makes me happy. I silently walk away to not disrupt her happiness and head
