Yvette opened some of the paper bags she bought to wear for the dinner. Yvonne used to talk about Clyde’s parents. Her twin sister is intimidated by the Smith family even though his mother is fond of her.

Yvonne said Mrs. Smith was the reason why she got married to Clyde. She doesn’t like anyone for his son. And since Yvonne embodies all the standards she’s been looking for, she automatically convinced Yvonne’s parents to marry their son in exchange for merging.

Clyde was scolded by his mother when Yvonne was gone missing for a month. It’s one of the reasons why Clyde wants Yvonne by his side to tame his mother.

She chose the black sleeveless Chanel dress and paired it with high heels. She put her hair in a high ponytail and highlighted her features with makeup.

She wore one of the pieces of jewelry from Tiffany and Co. The necklace hugged her neck like a choker with diamonds all over it.

She took the fur shawl and sprayed herself a Chanel perfume and went out.

She saw Clyde fixing the tie of his tuxedo while waiting in the living room for her. She smirked and started to go down smoothly on the grand staircase.

Clyde’s head went up to look at her. And for the nth time, he looked so stunned seeing her wife dressed differently.

He’s used to her long sleeves white dress when they’re visiting the mansion but he can’t believe she’s changing her fashion style and it suits her well. She really changed drastically.

Clyde unconsciously stepped forward and offered his hand to help her with the steps but Yvette gave her a smirk and refuse to hold his hand.

Clyde’s thick brows furrowed.

“Don’t flatter yourself too much, Mr. Smith. And close your lips,” she pushed his chin up.

“Stop being a headache, Yvo—wife…”

I am just starting.

They were silenced all over the trip. Her eyes were fixed outside the window while Clyde was looking at the other side too.

Yvette appreciates his coldness because she doesn’t want to hear his annoying voice. But in Clyde’s mind, he wanted to talk to her. He doesn’t engage in too much casual talk with Yvonne but there’s something about her that Clyde’s interest started blooming.

“One of the things you bought?” he asked nonchalantly.

Yvette glanced at him. He saw the reflection of his face in the window. His eyes drifted and looked at her thoroughly.

“Everything actually,” she pointed out.

Clyde’s thick brow raised.

“Everything…” he nodded like he understands all of it.

“Aside from my underwear of course. I won’t let your money touch those parts,” she smirked cunningly.

I swear to God, this woman is very cunning!

Clyde’s head glanced at her. She still wearing her smile, unfazed by what she just said like she’s used to it.

“Since when did you learn to talk like that?” he pointed out, curious about her changes.

Yvonne grew up in a primitive household reason why she doesn’t like revealing clothes too. Her mind is as innocent as a child’s. Her words are filtered and even mouthing a bad word isn’t her cup of tea. But the Yvonne in front of her is so bulgar. She wasn’t gentle at all. The only softness about her is her features, like the Yvonne physically, but everything about her changed including the gentleness in her eyes vanished too.

Her eyes hold fire. She always smiles cunningly, like she’s never been a soft girl her whole life. She’s just so foreign.

“Since I found out you’re a dick?” the smirk on her lips never vanished.

Clyde’s thick brows furrowed more. He’s stunned by each word she says. And he can’t believe the soft Yvonne he used to know vanished like a bubble in just a month.

Yvette let out a soft chuckle and turned her head in front of the window to distract herself. Clyde was too stunned to even say a single word.

“Oh my… Yvonne, my dearest daughter!” Mrs. Smith welcomed her warmly.

“Oh…” she hugged her tightly.

“Good evening Mama,” she said sweetly.

“Oh, I missed you so! And wow! You finally followed my tips huh? You changed your fashion! I like it so much! I told you it will suit you!” she smirked proudly like it was all her idea and that’s why Yvonne changed.

Clyde’s expression turned into confusion. So it was her mother all along. She contributed to the changes in his wife. Why didn’t he think about it? They almost share the same fashion sense now. It’s like Yvonne is her young version.

“I realized your fashion is way more stunning than mine, Mama…” Yvonne said sweetly.

“Oh! I really missed you!” and she hugged her again.

Truth is, Yvette was a bit nervous to meet Clyde’s parents. She memorized all of their details from Yvonne’s detailed rants but she was still worried they might sense it wasn’t Yvonne.

But who would even point out the difference between her and Yvonne? They’re twins. They share the same features, the color of the eyes, height, and skin complexion. The only thing that’s different is their personality and taste in everything.

Clyde’s doubts vanished like the wind especially now that she saw how her mother clung to his wife like she was fine at all. He thought they’re gonna sense something wrong with her but he was wrong.

And maybe Alice is really right about her. That Yvonne changed because of him. She changed how she approaches Clyde, how she talks to him, how she acts when he was around, and how she respects him as her husband. Her changes were only directed at him.

“Papa,” Yvonne smiled sweetly and kissed him on the cheek.

“Where have you been Yvonne? We were worried for you…” he said strictly.

“Oh, I just went on a vacation. Clyde and I had a misunderstanding and I don’t wanna see him…” she chuckled innocently.

Yvette wanted to laugh when Mrs. Smith glared at her son intently. They all gathered in front of the table to start the dinner but Yvette couldn’t wait to put Clyde on a hot seat.

“You did what, Clyde?” her mother’s voice raised a bit.

The maids started placing the food one by one. Yvette doesn’t want to roam her eyes around because she’s afraid Clyde might notice her curiosity as if it was her first time in the mansion.

“Clyde,” and even his father joined.

“It was nothing, Mama. Yvonne is just paranoid,” Clyde said and glanced at Yvette beside her.

“Oh? Am I paranoid?” Yvette chuckled while putting the table napkin on her lap, copying one of Yvonne’s mannerisms she memorized.

Clyde noticed it. His doubts decreased every time she does something familiar.

“You are…” Clyde said in a stern voice.

“What did he do, Yvonne? Tell me,” Mrs. Smith in a desperate voice.

“I think he’s seeing someone else, Mama.”

Clyde glanced at her curiously. Where did that confidence come from? Yvonne doesn’t like including their parents every time she thinks Clyde was doing suspicious things behind his back. He’s aware she’s accusing him of cheating behind her but it was the first time since she appeared after a month to voice out all of her thoughts confidently, that she’s not afraid what would be the reaction of Clyde’s parents.

“What?! Hijo?!” Mrs. Smith stood.

“I told you, Mama… she’s paranoid,” Clyde explained.

“I’m just kidding, Mama…” Yvette chuckled softly to calm her down.

Mr. Smith sighed like he was relieved to know that his son isn’t doing those things. Mrs. Smith calmed down but her eyes glared at her son. Oh, she’s ready to abandon her once Yvonne told her she really cheated behind her back.

“I’m warning you Clyde… don’t you dare,” she pointed to him.

Clyde started eating his food, unfazed by the commotion. He’s used to his mother’s overdramatic reaction.

“Oh dear… tell me what did you do for a month! I missed you so much!” Mrs. Smith smiled at her like she didn’t glare at her son a few seconds ago.

Yvette copied how Yvonne talked. She’s oversharing things. And that’s what she did too. She can sense how Clyde listened to her carefully like he was trying to catch her red-handed like a criminal denying his sins.

“Oh, do you have a picture? Let me see!” Mrs. Smith demanded.

Yvette was taken aback for a while. She’s talking about the beach she visited last year and pretended she did it a month ago. Thank God she still has those pictures!

She transferred all of her photos to Yvonne’s phone in case of emergency and thanked God she decided to do that.

“Oh wow! You’re also wearing two piece bikini now! Now!”

“Yes, Mama. I built my confidence just like what you said to me…” she chuckled.

“Because you’re beautiful, honey! Look at this, Clyde! Isn’t she very pretty!” Mrs. Smith showed the screen to Clyde.

Yvette looked at Clyde’s reaction while trying to maintain her smile. Clyde looked at the photo blankly. It was Yvette wearing a two-piece nude bikini while sipping her coconut juice. His eyes drifted to her breast. It really grew bigger.

“Yes,” Clyde answered and drifted his eyes to his food.

Damn… that was hot…

Clyde’s jaw clenched while thinking about it, trying to act unbothered with the picture when it lingered on her mind for a minute.

“We should go to the beach again, Yvonne! We’ll have another yacht party,” she grinned.

“Sure Mama…” she smiled.

Am I the only one getting paranoid about her? Even my parents think she’s normal. But she’s not. She’s even wearing two piece bikini now.

He kept on glancing at Yvonne every minute. She looked so tamed in front of his parents. Yet a lioness was in front of him. How is that even possible?

Clyde and his father started talking about business. Yvette started to get used to Mrs. Smith talking about random things. She felt how her twin was showered with love. The only thing who didn’t love her right was none other than her husband, Clyde the motherfucker.

“Stay for the night, Yvonne. We’ll bond tomorrow okay!” Mrs. Smith said.

Yvette wanted to decline the offer but it might be a tradition for Yvonne and Mrs. Smith. They’re close and they probably bond a lot just like how Yvonne told her that Mrs. Smith spoils her a lot.

“Clean their room, Lory…” Mrs. Smith ordered.

Yvette sipped on her wine while her mind started to realize something. Oh shit. They will share the same room since they’re married! The disgust she felt is so strong that she wanted to request another room for herself but it might confuse them.

Clyde looked at Yvonne’s reaction. She wasn’t blushing at all. She even caught her grimacing like she was disgusted being with him in one place.
