Chapter 13 Taming the beast

"What are you doing here?"The prince asked, his voice deep and his face emotionless like always.

"I had a nightmare and I couldn't fall asleep again."I paused and heaved a sigh, "That's why I decided to come here to breathe some fresh air."I explained briefly.

Unexplainable emotion flashed through his eyes but it was gone in a blink of an eye and his face went back to emotionless once again.

"What about you? Why are you here when you should be sleeping?"I couldn't help but ask, curiosity getting the better of me.

"I have come to hunt down half-breeds."He said, looking deep into my eyes and I couldn't help but shiver at his words. He was still reminding me that I was nothing more than half-breed.

My heart twisted inside my chest as though Someone was squeezing it into a tiny ball.Taking a deep breath, my lips curved into a thin smile. I didn't want to look weak in his eyes. I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of defeat.
