I opened my eyes to the unfamiliar surroundings. It took a few minutes to remember that I am married now. I look around.

Where is my husband?

I jump out of the bed. Everything on the couch is neatly kept as if there was no one who slept there last night. But he is nowhere to be found.

I leave the room and go to the dining room. The maid bowed her head from the side. Wow, they should really stop doing this. Feels like I’m in a 90s Asian drama.
