The ground is rough and got some sharp-edged stones and pebbles. Vincent's feet hurt but it doesn't matter to him. What he's feeling inside is more painful than him running barefoot on rocky ground.
"Vincent, wait!" William's cold look on his face got tainted with a hint of worry. He thought, how could Vincent run away like that if he has a fever and his head hurt?
With his hand extending towards the other, William slowly closing the gap in between them. Not long after chasing him, William finally took grasp on Vincent's wrist, pulling him into a stop.
"Vincent, what do you think you're doing? You should go back to your room and rest." Now that they got close enough, William can't help but compare this man before him with the Vincent he lives with four years ago. He didn't change much. He's about the same height. His physical appearance is more or less the same too. It's like William just took a large leap through time and traveled back to the past.

Mingyan would like to hear from you! Do you have any thoughts about the story? Let me know about it through comments! :D
"I am so disappointed in you. I am ashamed to be your father. You bring shame in our family!" Mr. Lopez's words are like knives thrusting through William's chest. Actually, William kind of expected to hear this from his father but still, the first time is always the deepest. After all the other not-so-nice words that his father said and addressed to him, William didn't dare to defend himself nor utter a single word. Maybe it's because he doesn't know what to say, or maybe because he accepts those painful words. He accepts every single word that his father said which made him think it's true so there's no need to think hard and explain himself. He's a big disappointment, a black sheep of the family that brings shame to the House of Lopez.Since he's young, William had always received praises from his father for his achievements no matter how big or small it is. And whenever he's in a downfall, he gets words of comfort and encouragement instead. He never really got an in
A knock on the door breaks the silence in William's room. It's been three days since the last time he saw Vincent. Ever since then, William isolated himself in his bedroom, rarely making a presence. He occasionally skips his meal too. For the past three days, he only eats once or twice a day. He simply just doesn't have the appetite. For the past three days, he avoided Elena too. He doesn't have an idea if she's still mad about what she saw or if it somehow subsides. He doesn't know if his parents are still angry at him but he's sure that he's still gravely disappointed with him. But what concerns him the most is Vincent. He wonders if he's finally feeling better even just for a bit. Seeing him would only make Vincent upset so he didn't dare to come to his place to check on him. William got distracted from his thoughts when a series of knocks sounded again. Then he heard a little voice behind his closed door. "Big brother William? This is me, Alphonse
"Ulysses? Is Dylan still asleep?" Denise opens the door of Dylan and Ulysses' room. "What would you like to eat for din---" She stops and immediately covered her mouth with her hand when she saw the two sleeping soundly. One lying on the bed, and one sitting on the floor with his back leaning on the mattress. Since they look like they're not waking up any time soon, Denise decided to quickly go out and closes the door again. About a couple of hours ago, Dylan fell asleep on the sofa in the living room. To her surprise, Ulysses gently carried him in his arms and brought him to their bedroom. Denise has always thought that Ulysses treats her brother coldly with indifference. Who would have thought that the seemingly unconcerned Student Council President actually cares for this annoying Campus Heartthrob? And one more thing... Ulysses can actually lift Vincent despite having a slender body?! That's something Denise isn't expecting. The truth is, even Ulysses is
The cold silence got break by Maria's painful wails when she saw a pool of blood on the bed's white sheets. She's panicking after seeing their Master Vincent isn't moving anymore. No matter how one looks at it, he's now just a piece of an empty container. She quickly went out of the room and asks for help. The tragic end of Vincent's life happened the last night after he cuts a deep wound on his wrist with a sharp dagger. That night, he died slowly as the painful thoughts drowned him into the depths of depression. His sister who loves him, who never got mad at him, hates him now. Aside from that, he also caused trouble for William and his family. And these suffocating feelings he's been enduring for a while now... he wants to end it so bad. He thought if he's going to live through this pain and continue hurting someone else, he'd rather end his life from here. Besides, he doesn't think he can find happiness without William by his side anyway. In silence, William
It's already afternoon, and most of the clubs were done with their activities so most of the students in Northwestern High School already went home.Even Denise's Women's Volleyball Club is already dismissed for today yet she still did not head home. She's currently waiting in the school cafeteria with her brother. The stalls are already closed so they don't have anything to buy. No choice, they have to sit there and wait for who knows until when. Why they are waiting? Well... they're waiting for the Student Council President to finish his one on one discussion with the school's Guidance Counselor.Neither of the twins knows why Mrs. Reyes, the current guidance counselor, suddenly asked for Ulysses' presence in the Guidance Office on such short notice. Not even Ulysses himself... well, he does have a hunch but he's not so sure.Back to the main topic, the Student Council president was called earlier this morning without many details, and just got informed
"We waited for half an hour, you know that?" Dylan complains to Ulysses while the three of them are walking by the sidewalk. It's already 5:47 in the afternoon, and they're finally heading home."Complain to Mrs. Reyes, not to me." Ulysses' face was initially bright when he saw Dylan again after exchanging words with the guidance counselor. However, after getting reminded of what they discussed about, Ulysses frowns again."Ulysses, you see..." Denise lightly pokes the Student Council president on the arm using her elbow. With a mischievous grin similar to Dylan's, she continues to speak. "Dylan is so in love with you that he misses you in every second that you're not around."Narrowing his eyes, Dylan glares at his sister. "Shut up. Who says?"But instead of giving him a proper answer, Denise didn't say anything and just beams a smile at him with a wink."Is that so, Dylan?" Ulysses' dark expression once again fades away in an instant, only to be
The sky is dark yet it's illuminated by the twinkling stars and the usual bright moon, making it a scenery to behold. Two lifetimes, different situations, dissimilar states of living, yet sharing the same sky. Even until now, Dylan still loves looking up in the night sky. He likes to stargaze regardless of his state of emotion. It makes him calm whenever he's sad, troubled, or angry. And when he's not upset, it makes him feel enchanted, lost in a state of awe. For no particular reason, it boosts his emotions more. Even Dylan himself doesn't know why exactly he is drawn to this kind of scenery. May it is in the city or a small hometown, the night sky never failed to amuse him. Perhaps because he appreciates how lovely the night is? Or maybe because it's a hobby from his past life that he can't get rid of even after death? Or it also could be... the night gives him a feeling of comfort and nostalgia. As the known esteemed Campus Heartthrob of his time, breaking
"Aren't you feeling hot Dylan?" Mrs. Cruz can't help but ask his son right after her eyes laid on him. She was preparing the table for them to have breakfast together but she literally stopped whatever she's doing just to stare at Dylan for some time.Of course, who would not find it strange? The sun is shining so bright in the clear blue sky. It's such a fine weather. And considering the fact that they're in a tropical country, the temperature should be no less than 30 degrees celsius.Everyone else in the house is wearing comfortable and thin clothes made up of cotton except for Dylan. He is wearing his dark green turtle neck sweater made up of polyester. His sweat is even starting to form underneath his clothes."Nope. Not at all!" Dylan is quick to respond. "I just look hot but I'm not feeling hot. I'm totally fine. Very comfortable." He faked a laugh to sound confident.Hearing all this nonsense, Denise can't help but roll her eyes. Since Ulysses isn
