“Eun-woo,” she called me. “Promise me that one day, you will bring the most important person in your life to an ice skating rink.”

I smirked after listening to what she said. “And why?”

“It is believed that if you walk on ice in a dream, the dream could indicate taking too many risks and jeopardizing the person’s safety in some way,” she explained. “So, I want you to be there to protect whoever is walking on that ice.”

“That's ridiculous, Chereen.” I scoffed. “And who believes that?”

“I believe in it.”

I glanced at her and she was just staring at me. At that time, I thought she was fooling around with what she was trying to tell me. Little did I know, she was being serious… which happened to be one of the signs of her leaving.

“You believe in what I believe in too, right?”
