Suspicious Mind

"V-VANESSA? Babe?" naramdaman agad ni Vanessa ang pagkatuliro ng boses nang nasa kabilang linya.

She immediately feels suspicious. Her heart pangs but she remains calm. She stood up and excused herself. Lumayo siya ng bahagya so that her manager and assistant would not ask her what was going on. At para rin hindi marinig ng mga ito ang paguusap nila ni Ralph.

Nagkatitigan ang dalawa. Their suspicious minds talk as their eyes look at each other.

"Yes, this is me. My phone battery is empty kaya nakitawag lang muna ako," she informed him in a calm tone.

"U-uh, o-okay. So, babe. I-is there anything wrong? How are you? Aren't you busy right now, Babe?" sunod sunod na tanong nito sa kanya.

"I am fine, babe," she said coldly. Gusto sana niyang itanong rito kung bakit nito kasama si Vicky, but then her word stuck in her throat.

"B-babe. Vicky was with me right now," Ralph said on the other line in a stammer tone.
