“What? Dinner? At your parents’ place?” Ruby almost screamed as she plopped down on the couch. Luke came home after a long day of work and told her about his father's dinner invitation. Ruby felt like she was not yet ready to meet the other members of Luke's family. She surely had met David. He seemed like a nice man but that was a very brief meeting.
“Yes, dinner. At my father's house,” Luke said and took a seat next to her.

The early morning light beamed through the windows of Luke's bedroom. He groaned not wanting to wake up yet.
