Evelyn POV

The next few days went past in a flash. Thankfully, I was able to get some of my frustration out on Aaron before the conference. I debriefed the team on the intel I had found thus far at RSS and informed them of the last-minute conference that I was to attend that was across the country.

“Are you sure you are okay with staying with Alfredo?” I asked Arrow as I grabbed my black trench coat.

Aaron cupped my face. “E, you’ve already asked me this seventeen times. Take a deep breath.”
