Chapter Fourteen

I SNATCHED the bouquet of flowers from Caren. I tossed it in the trash can.

Caren strangely looked at me. Her mouth was wide open. "Why did you do that?" 

"I don't need them. Besides, they look disgusting."

I glanced at the flowers on the bin. Fuck! I just remembered what Kairos told me. I shouldn't have wasted my energy on these stupid things. Fuck, Lenos! What did he want to tell me by sending those flowers? 

“Tsk…tsk…" Caren glanced at the trash bin before turning to me. "I can't believe Sir Lenos couldn't move on from you.  After all those years…" Caren was smirking at me. "I'm still wondering what he saw in you?" 

I gave her a glare.
