What are you doing here?

Ivy looked at Nikolai with mixed emotions. Fear that he might find out that she went to meet her father and discover what they were hiding all these years. A hint of happiness to see him. And the longing which she always feels when she is around him. But when she remembered what he said when they last met, she didn't dare to meet his gaze.

"Mr. Knight" she mumbled and slowly stood up to her feet. She is clutching her handbag in front of her like it's her life line.

Nikolai looked at her with a deep frown. He looked around the area where they are and noticed how deserted it is.

"What are you doing here alone?" he asked her with a hint of anger. He didn't like the fact that she is not taking her safety seriously.

"I..." she started, but couldn't finish her sentence.

"Look around you. Why are you walking in a place like this alone? What if something happened to you just now? Do you know what time it is now?" he scolded her.

His concern for her safety is clear in his tone.
