Chapter 47: Trial

I spent the next few days pretty much just sleeping , the doctor told me I should be out of here on Tuesday morning, I was praying to be out for Steve’s trial. My dad has been visiting him daily with Jeremy, keeping us both updated. I wish I could see him too.

I was beginning to be able to walk around, I looked really rough, my face was black and blue. I was a bit nervous to see Steve looking this way. I asked my father to pick me up some concealer so I can try to look a bit normal.

There was a warrant out for Darren’s arrest, as of right now they couldn’t find anywhere. They went to talk to Steve for ideas where he would hide but everywhere there was no sign of him.

Tuesday morning came and I was rushing the nurses to be released, they told me to be on easy duties, my father was supposed to return to work tomorrow but was doubtful if he should take some extra time off.
