Chapter 15 - Forgiven

“Alinn!” I admonish. This girl! Does she want to get expelled!?

“Teacher Cassie,” she whispers, her voice trembling, and she is so close to crying.

I grab Alinn’s arm and pull her away from Lukas while shouting for Jason to prepare so we can bring him to the hospital.

I look at Lukas. Instead of laughing at him, I feel pity. He is crying and bruised. I doubt he ever fought back against Alinn. No one must have hit him like this before. Nevertheless, it is also apparent that it’s his heart that’s beaten up.
