IT had been hours, or whatfelt like hours to Ava, of waiting for Lucas to come and get her like she knewhe would. Wind hit her when the doorslammed open, breaking off the hinges and landing on the floor in front of thebed. LUCAS watched as the closedcasket was lowered gently into the ground. He gave comfort to Ava as she sobbedinto his chest, both feeling depressed but only one showing it.He kept his face emotionless throughout the wholefuneral, surrounded by a sea of grief stricken bodies in black outfits. Thewhole pack watched silently as the beloved member was covered up with soil. Infact, most of the town was present at the funeral, the death touching everyone.Words were spoken but Lucas couldn't focus on anyof it. It was like he wasn't there and only his body was present.
