Ch14: The Professor

I had a class at around ten in the morning. At exactly nine, I left the house when I was done preparing. However, I creased my brows when I found Denny leaning against her car, just outside the gate.

“Morning,” I greeted her without any care and continued walking ahead. I wanted to walk to school today since I was an hour earlier.

However, I furrowed my brows when Denny opened the door on the other side. “I was going to school too. Do you want a ride?“ She asked.

That left me so confused. This was the first time she had offered me a ride. On any other day, even if I was running late to school, she never even looked at me.

I wanted to turn her down, but looking at her face, I knew that she had something to say. Had it been in the past, I would have stayed so far away, in fear of her vile mouth.

But today, I just wanted to know what she was thinking. I was sure she might have had some kind of conversation with mom. They say that we should keep our enemies closer, right?
