Ashton pov
"So how do you feel?" I asked Josh as we walked down the road. We left the club and decided to continue our original plan and go find something to eat. There was a burger restaurant a few blocks away, and I could use a bloody burger. Not literally bloody, but almost. Medium rare it is.
"I'm good, happy. Did you see how beautiful she was" Josh replied.
"You look like a lovesick puppy dude." I laughed at the way he was looking.
"Shut up."
"Kind of cliche don't you think? Your mate is my mates' best friend." He shrugged.
"I don't care how cliche it is, she is mine and I'll cherish her." I nodded, I have to give it to him, it is a better way to treat your mate when you find her. I know I was stupid; I didn't want her to get hurt, but by the way I acted she got hurt in the process. Because of me. I hurt my mate. Even thinking about it now, I could almost not breath, I still feel so guilty. I just hope she forgives me some day.

I just woke up from the best sleep ever, I was warm and comfortable. When I opened my eyes and saw Ashton asleep next to me. I looked around me and realized I was still in the hospital. On a seat in the back of my room was my best friend sitting. With a smug on her face. "Looks like sleeping beauty is awake. How are you?" Kristin asked. "I'm good." I said with a smile on my face. My last 3 days of normal. That was all I was thinking as I was laying at home, resting, and waiting for Kristin to get home. Who was currently, well you can take a guess, yup at Joshes place. Ashton stormed into the room; we were just talking about what to do to become a pack doctor. I woke up from snoring beside me. I opened my eyes and was immediately met with an aching headache. Next to me was a soundly and loudly sleeping Ashton. When Ashton went to the bathroom, I decided to look around the cabin. It was not that small and cozy, it had two stories, ground floor and first floor. On the ground floor there was obviously the living room, with the couch. The couch was in front of a fireplace, which was made out of natural grey bluff stones and looked really nice. I walked over to the kitchen, which was next to the living room. The kitchen was pretty spacious, there was a cooking island with a stove and oven and of course a fridge and cabinets. There was also a bathroom and bedroom on the ground floor, which I guess was for Ashton and me, at least for the next few days. Alex told me the first floor only consisted of a bedroom and a small bathroom, but I'm definitely not going to check that out now. Josh’s POV It was around 8 pm, the night of Evie’s first shift. Kristin and I decided to stay behind to give her some space. The first shift is hard, so she needed to stay calm.
