CHAPTER FOURTEEN

After the dinner date with Nick, I couldn't bring myself to even pick up his calls or accept his presence. I had to pretend like everything was fine that night so he would take me home but now I know Nick is becoming a huge obstacle for me and I can't bear to be surrounded by obstacles.

I sat in the sitting room still reminiscing on what his mother said…..none of the family members even tried to welcome me as his mate chosen for him by the moon goddess, ugh I feel humiliated.

"Where is your knight in shining armor," Sunny said, sitting opposite me with a wine glass in her hands.

"Leo " I teased making her hiss

"Leo is still your knight in shining armor. I thought you changed that position to Nick's," she said.

" I can pick anyone to do the job," I said with a smirk

" You are evil," she said

" Thank you II learned a lot from you" I teased making her grip the glass extremely tight and unexpectedly, she poured the wine on my face.
