To anticipate and prepare for what I was going to tell her when she was finally standing before me.

My suspicions about my mate being an Alpha's daughter had been dimmed. I had watched the expression on Alpha Brandon's face when I told him the news.

Listened to the rise and drop of his heartbeat. It was consistent, well-balanced. He wasn't hiding anything from me.

That would mean his daughter will not be my mate. Because if she indeed was then the Alpha would have known that his own daughter had crossed the boundary and that would have also meant that his daughter was trying to run from him which is an abomination. I however still intend to demand that her presence be clear when all the she-wolf Citizens are brought before me.
