Barbara shook her head, frustration evident on her face. "But what about our future? don't we deserve a chance at happiness? Stanley has moved on, and so should you."

Larissa looked down at her hands, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry, Barbara. I've been struggling to let go, too. It's been hard for me to see Stanley with someone else. I guess I still have some unresolved feelings." She explained,

Barbara could sense Larissa's sincerity, and her anger began to subside, she realized that getting rid of Larissa wouldn't solve anything, Instead, they needed to address their shared history and find a way to move forward,

"Maybe we can all sit down and talk," Barbara suggested, her tone softer, "We need to clear the air and find a way to navigate this situation, Stanley and I want to get married, and we don't want any interference." Barbara said,
