15. Pending Verdicts

Juan's fists were squeezed hard as his face twisted with worry and anger. "Drugs? This can't be true," he muttered as he looked at Marissa, who was just as shocked.

"I understand this must be difficult for you, Juan. We have evidence, and we're conducting a thorough investigation," Inspector Guerra assured them, his tone empathetic.

"What evidence do you have?" With a tense voice, Juan questioned.

"We received a tip about illegal activities in a casino. They are using drugs and gambling, and upon investigation, we found drugs in Ignacio's possession. He resisted arrest, making the situation more complicated," Inspector Guerra explained, handing Juan a folder with details of the case. "We are conducting a test on them; if the drug test is negative in his system, he will be released."

Marissa, who was equally shocked and worried, put her hand on Juan's shoulder and offered him silent support while he went over the documents. "We need your cooperation to get to the bottom of this," Inspe
