Thea walked barefooted from the bed towards the window. It dawned on her how big of a mess she was in. Especially the fact that her illness has been exposed and she might get bullied. There was a rumor that she was born with the illness. While she grew up, other wolf pups in the palace were made to stay away from her. Thea grew up all alone and only Ina stood by her side and eventually became her handmaiden. Her step Brothers and sisters also were distant and cruel to her. She remembered several times when the luna made mention that she inherited the illness from her mother. Thea had tried to escape from being isolated in the palace several times and on one of those unsuccessful escapes, she met Maxwell and fell in love with him. Maxwell showed her the brighter side of life and took her to his place where she found comfort and love amongst them.

Thea thought she would spend the rest of her life happily married to Maxwell. She recalled how many times she hoped and prayed for the moon
