Author's POV Jenny was tossing and turning on her bed for the last two hours and still wasn't getting any sleep. It's been three hours since she came back from Sam's place and hit her bed as it was already past twelve. After changing into a pink baggy t-shirt which hopefully reached below her mid-thighs. Switching the lights off she put her phone to silent and slumped in bed hoping that she would fall asleep soon. And now, it's been two and half hours of her trying to sleep, yet she didn't succeed. She tried everything that could help her to fall asleep, she closed her eyes and lay down while recalling the good memories that always comforted her. She tried counting sheep even if that didn't work. After two major failures in the attempt to sleep, Jenny gave up finally and got up from bed. Leaving a long sigh she looked around her gloomy room of hers, and utter silence was the only thing she could find around her. Stepping down from bed Jenny wore her soft mushy sleepers and walke
Ryan's POV " Ryan, you should at least give it a try," said Natasha leaning forward as she placed the fork on the plate and waited for my response. Leaving a long sigh I leaned back on my chair muttering " now I regret telling you about it " And instantly earned a slap on my forearm from her. " Don't be mousy... Just got it " she asserted. " Easy for you to say " I breathed out while looking around. As it was almost lunchtime now I could see more people gathering around the French-Kott restaurant which is near Natasha's office. It was brunch time when I got a call from her asking me to meet her at a French-Kitt restaurant near her office during lunchtime. I was relieved to see her after a long time, since the time she went on a business trip I wasn't able to contact her cause mostly her phone would be out of reach or I was too busy to attend her call. But thankfully she returned earlier this morning and called me to meet her. And I am a messed up shit who needed a sane person
Author's POV " Umm this is my first time to be on a date " confessed Ryan with a bit of hesitation dripping from his words yet he’s the one who broke the brief silence that was present between them since the moment they sat across from each other. Jenny smiled " I know " " But I'm not the kind of girl who would feel proud to be your first " she added further. "Oops " Both of them chuckled. It's a pleasant evening for both as one is admiring the beautiful sight which is available in front and the other one is enjoying the time of being admired. After a lot of denying and accepting games Ryan finally decided to give it a try and prepared himself to face whatever falls after this date. Somehow the conversation with Natasha helped him to figure out what actually he wanted to do rather than what he was denying to do. Ryan slipped into a crisp white shirt that clinged to his body like his second skin. Tucking the shirt inside black casual pants he left the upper two buttons of hi
Author’s POV He is lost in her. He is lost between her eyebrows that would guide him way to her heart. He is lost in her ember brown eyes that look at him with curiosity and unbidden inclination. He is lost in the way her lips move when she speaks words that may not make sense to anyone else but him. He is lost in her smile that unknowingly assures him about many things he is worried about. He is lost in her melodic laughter that cleanses his soul like a relaxing music. He is so lost in her. It’s been a week since the official Date night between Ryan Dixit and Jennifer Oberoi. And since that night Ryan’s peace was snatched by her thoughts. He couldn’t help but keep thinking about her, how she smiled, how she looked at him, how she spoke and how she laughed at his dead jokes. Every single thing about her keeps him awake all night. He is frustrated and yet this frustration pleases his soul like anything. He is addicted to this kind of frustration that seeks her presence near him. T
Author’s POV “ have your dinner on time and go back to sleep before ten. Look at your eyes, exhausted and dark as if you haven't slept for months. “ said Maria while ruffling Ryan’s hair gently, and as usual he nodded absent mindedly at her. “ I've kept some money in the second drawer of the dressing table….use it if you have any need, “ she said, grabbing her purse from the corner of the table beside the couch. Ryan was seated on the couch, watching his mother rushing around the house as she was leaving for her cousin's sister’s marriage. The last minute packing got her worked up as she is running here and there to grab her belongings before she forgets to carry them with. For the last two days his mother and father were trying their best level of brainwashing on Ryan to convince him to accompany them to the wedding as it’s one of their close relatives and he shouldn’t be missing such a family function. But for some reason Ryan kept denying them saying he has assignments to c
Author’s pov Ordering a glass of Bourbon Asher stood at the bar glancing at his wrist watch every five minutes. Dressed up in black leather jacket and white t-shirt pairing it up with a light blue denim and white sneakers Asher was quite sure about his look tonight.he ran fingers in his thick hairs inhaling calm and deep breaths. Looking around he analysed the slow grooming music and crowd of teenagers making out and dancing like there’s no tomorrow. It seemed like these teenegers were ready to celebrate anything at this moment as all of them were in the mood and really looked happy for what only they knew. While there were few adults sitting in a corner with a pale face as if they’re slowly understanding the phase of adulting and motive of their life. They all were lost in deep thoughts yet nodding their heads in every now and then as if they were present here mentally to listen to what the person beside them is talking about. Apart from teenagers and adults, there are also few midd
Author’s POV “ So, it’s gonna be a trial run ? “ Asked Ryan, glancing beside him as he shifted to second gear smoothly. “ huh ?” she narrows her eyebrows at him looking up from her phone screen. Her fake innocent caused him to titter, looking out through window as he said “ c’mon you heard me” “ whatever “ she muttered under her breath which didn’t fail to reach his ear. “ can’t say if it’s trail run because i honestly you’re everything that i like about and yet i don’t know why this feels little weird to date my father’s business partner……so yeah…i’m taking my time to make sure that i’m into right thing “ she wiggles her eyebrows at him in playful manner. It’s been a week and till now she couldn’t point one thing about him that makes her re-think about dating him. She has been finding one damn reason that could upset her about him so that she can save herself from falling head over heels to this man, who’s driving her crazy. She doesn’t know if it’s charming face or impre
Author’s POV An hour ago “ we…..what the fuck ?” Gasped Asher loudly, making a few heads turn at him in the bar as he choked on his drink. Looking back at them Asher smiled awkwardly and snapped his head back at her. He stared at her for a good few seconds to know if she was joking. Nevertheless all he saw was her blank face expecting him to say something in return of her amazing offer that she put ahead, according to her. Did she really say that or did I miss hearing that ? Grabbing few tissues from table Asher wiped off the drink around his mouth and jacket to gaze back at her “ don’t tell me you said that “ She rolled her eyes biting her lower lips “ actually i did “ “ benefits ? is that what you’re here for ?” he was pissed off, not even for a thought he ever expected her to say that. Why would he ? all this while he had different thoughts in his mind when she walked in like a fairy. Did she really think that all this while I've been avoiding her because I wanted to sleep w
