After a couple of staying in a daze at the cafe’s parking lot, Ashlyn went on her drive back home to send her mother’s order. As soon as she got back to their house, she was totally expressionless and did not utter any words when her mother welcomed her with a smile. She just passed her and went upstairs but she skipped the last step which made her stumbled.
“Fuck.” Ashlyn grumpily reacted as she clicked her tongue while easing the pain over her knee.
“Are you alright there, honey?” her mother worried and asked but that was not because of her daughter’s usual clumsiness but what was making her in a daze.
“Yeah, I am fine. I’ll be in my room.” Ashlyn answered and went straight to her bedroom without waiting for any reply from her mother.

As Ashlyn was having her own time in her own bed, something made her jolt and get up from lazying on her bed. She got up only to be welcomed by the noon sun. She was not sure what she was feeling but her heartbeat was feeling something odd and she does not like it one bit. “What’s going on?” Ashlyn muttered to herself as she get up from the bed and was about to head to her balcony when she started to sneeze again, she groan like usual. She was about to speak when Vladimir immediately covered her mouth which made them end up inside her bedroom. She doesn’t know what was going on but she could not shake the fact that she doesn’t like being too close to her mate at the moment. So, again, she flipped Vladimir before punching his stomach. But Vladimir was in vampire mode as his eyes glowed in a deep shade of the ocean.
