Braelyn's POV
"So how should I react?" I raised my head up to give Cora a blank stare.
"I mean are you happy or are you upset?" My eyes followed her line of vision and settled on the pregnancy test in my hand. Evan had left for the office after making sure that I would take a rest for the day. I haven't been feeling so great since this morning as well. I called Cora up demanding that she bought a kit on her way here. So now I was sitting at the edge of the bed while the two pink lines glared at me.
"I'm confused." I honestly didn't know how to feel.
"Things are good between you two right?" She asked after a brief pause.
"To answer your question, we are good but that's not it. The thing is I'm not sure if I'm ready." I tossed it on the bed.

Braelyn's POVI sighed, quite liking the warmth of his body pressed against mine under the sheets. I was tracing his abs with my fingers before placing a small kiss on his chest."Don't do that." Evan's POV"Hey, I had clear skin!" When I looked at her she was staring at me with a blank expression."So your problem is with the boy or the pimples?" She deadpanned. I chuckled before wrapping my hand around her shoulder and pulling her close so that she was leaning back on me."First I want a boy and then a girl. She will have an overprotective brother as well and then I won't be the only one on the receiving end of her dislike. I think I can work with that." She hummed and it was silent for a few seconds before she turned back and looked at me."Evan." I looked between her eyes before pulling away a bit."I know that face. Don't start again, please." I said knowing full to well where this was leading to.

Braelyn's POV"Oh my God! It is so small. It looks like an M&M." I swear this woman could shout like a fox. Her voice had everyone's eyes on us for a moment. We cast apologetic glances at them before I glared at her."Yeah, you did not just say that." I chuckled at Austin's expression before I was pulled in for a tight hug by Cora."I'm so happy for you." Her wide grin spread to one of mine as well. I looked back at Austin who looked a bit uncomfortable."I have to use the washroom. I'll be back." She got up sensing the tension in there and I appreciated that. Evan's POV"Mom?" My voice had an edge to it, a mixture of apprehension and defense if I were to be specific. I heard footsteps which were most likely Ryan's stopping right behind me. Brae stood up, followed my Mom."What's happening?" I looked between them while they looked at each other's faces."We were just talking. Can you leave us alone?" I stared at Brae's face for too long before refusing."No." Mom gulped before looking away. Though I had explained everything to her at the dinner, well Ryan had done most of the talking, she hadn't said a word that day. So, the idea of her and Brae alone still didn't seem much appealing to me."Evan, everything's fine." Brae said in a calm voice as I stared at her skeptically."Come on, let's go." Evan's POV"So when do you want to go for cake tasting?" I asked, stepping out of the closet. I looked up to see her sitting on the bed, her face in her hands."Brae?" She took her time in raising her head and I was met with her tear stricken face."Why are you crying?" I wiped the tears with my thumb but that seemed to make her more emotional as fresh tears rolled escaped her eyes."Tell me what happened." Third Person POVEvan stood there, tapping his foot impatiently. More than impatience it was the anxious thoughts and little flashbacks that had put his mind at unease. This was the second time he had found himself standing at the altar waiting for Braelyn. He could hear the all too familiar sound of the guests murmuring.
