"Anyway, hyung I have a lot of stories to share with you " Tae Jin said. He didn't like seeing Hae Jin in a sad mood and so, decided to change the topic.

And it worked because Hae Jin beamed at his words, looking so happy and interested to know what he (Tae Jin) had to share with him, "Oh really?" He exclaimed with that same happy interested look on his face.

"Hyung, you're like an angel when you smile. But I must say, you're far from an angel though"

"Oh, please, don't make me blush" Hae Jin looked away with reddened cheeks, embarrassed. Heavens, he gets fluttered easily, was he like this when he was alive?

And he totally ignored the kid's last sentence 'But I must say, you're far from an angel though' what's up with this character?

"Oh, right, Hyung, from tomorrow onwards I'll be coming here in the afternoon" Hae Jin snapped out of his thoughts, eyes widened in shock, "You'll be coming again?" He asked. Why did he want to come again? There was nothing interesting here.

Well, it wasn't like he won't like it if he did visit again. It will be more than a blessing for him.

"Of course!" The kid exclaimed with a smile, "I don't want you to be lonely anymore" Once again, Hae Jin was shocked by the kid's words. Lonely? Why was the kid talking as if he knew something? (About him being a ghost)

"Why do you think I'm lonely?" He asked. Smiling, Tae Jin pointed at his (Tae Jin) eyes, "I can see it in your eyes. Your eyes tells me how lonely you are"

Oh, so his eyes betrayed him. Traitor! His eyes were traitors! He would have executed them for this grave crime if he didn't need them (His eyes)

"So, I'll be coming in the afternoon everyday to keep you company" 'Everyday' Hae Jin said in mind. He loved that. But, why in the afternoon?

"Why in the afternoon?" He asked the burning question in mind. Yeah, why in the afternoon?

"Well, today is Sunday, I'll be going to school  tomorrow. Tomorrow is Monday"

Right! He was so stupid! Tae Jin was a student..........was today really Sunday? He had no idea!

Days do pass by quickly.

"Okay, then I'll be expecting you tomorrow......"

"Around 3" Tae Jin added and they smiled at each other.

Remembering something important, the smile fell off Hae Jin's face as he asked, "But, will your parents be alright with you going out?" with a serious expression.

"Oh, Hyung, you didn't know? I leave just three blocks away from here. I'll be alright" He did? Once again, he had no idea.

Well, how would he know if he never asked or walked him home? He really hated the fact that he was trapped in this forsaken house.

"I see" he said. Oh, right. He was still curious about one thing. Who was the woman who picked up Tae Jin yesterday? Was he really his mother?

Anyone who saw them would realise this too, they looked nothing alike.

However, if the woman really was his mother then Tae Jin must resemble his father.

"Do you have something to ask Hyung?" Tae Jin asked. Coming out of thought land, Hae Jin raised a brow in question, asking, "Huh?"

"Well, you look like you do. What is it? I can answer anything" Hae Jin smiled at the kid's reply, amused to see the proud look on Tae Jin's face as he said that.

"Wow, our Tae Jin must be so smart" Tae Jin smiled, looking prouder than before as he said, "I am. I always get first place in my class"

"Oh wow! That's amazing! You're amazing Tae Jin"

"Hmm, I am" Tae Jin replied with that same proud look on his face, making Hae Jin laugh.

Tae Jin was a funny and interesting kid and he hope and pray, that he will spend more time with him before they part ways.

Hae Jin was sure of this. Ghosts and humans can never live together for a very long time. It was inevitable that they will part ways sooner or later and he hope and pray, that their time together will last long.

"So, what do you want to ask?"

"Oh, right. The woman who picked you up yesterday, was she your mother?"

Tae Jin shook his hand in disagreement, replying, "Soon is my caretaker" Oh, so the woman's name was 'Soon' and she was his caretaker. That kind of explains all his questions. No wonder they looked didn' alike.

"Mom and dad are always busy with work. They're both doctors and they spend a lot of time working. That's why they hired Soon to take care of me while they're at work"

"So, did you ask for Soon's permission before coming here?" Hae Jin really hope that was so, because he didn't want the woman to worry too much about him. Just like yesterday when she came by.

The young woman looked like she just encountered with the angle of death while she was looking for Tae Jin.

She looked worried, devastated and horrified and he, Hae Jin, did not want to see that kind of sight ever again.

"Yes, I told her I'm coming here to play and she agreed. And her boyfriend is your next door neighbor" Seriously? The house next to his was Soon's boyfriend's? Well, he really was learning a lot.

But still, why did the young lady agree? Concerning in the eyes of humans, the house looked abandoned, dirty, haunted. So why did she agree?

"She said she will check on me once in a while. Just to be sure I'm okay and safe"

"Oh, I see" He should just drop all his questions. He won't get any answers anyway. He has decided not to reveal the fact that he was a ghost to Tae Jin, that meant, he had to pay the price of never finding out why his caretaker, Soon, allowed him to come to this abandoned filthy haunted old house.

"So, tell me, what do you have to share with me? Make it interesting" Hae Jin said, changing the topic and like a smart kid as Tae Jin was, he took the bait with no questions.

"I have a lot to share with you!" He exclaimed happily, "Remember my friend Shin Hye?, the one I told you about?" Smiling amusingly, Hae Jin hummed in reply and Tae Jin continued, "She got second place in the test we wrote last Friday"

"Oh, really?"

"Yes, and I got first place!"

"Wow, that's amazing Tae Jin. You really are a smart kid"

"I am! And my other friends, they got third and fourth place. Well, Se Jong got third place and Hyun Seo got fourth place. They were so sad and jealous of me. They even said it out loud"

"Oh, and what was your reply?"

"I told them they can never beat a smart kid like me. And that they should accept their third and fourth place and try harder next time to be in second place just like Shin Hye" Hae Jin burst out laughter. Tae Jin really was a funny and interesting kid. But still, how could he say that to his friends?

And like this, Hae Jin listened amusingly, watching Tae Jin talk for hours about school and his friends.

He never complained, in fact, he was happy. Listening and asking questions. Once again, being with Tae Jin made him feel alive, like human and he had no complains.

However, he was more grateful that, Tae Jin not once, asked about him, his life, friends and families. He was grateful and glad at the same time. Because if the kid did, he didn't know what to say as his answer.

Six hours later, Tae Jin cut off his stories simply because the sun was setting and it was time to go home. Hae Jin had something to say about that but he didn't dare voice out.

He was dejected at the fact that Tae Jin was leaving but there was nothing he could do. The kid wasn't his neither was he his family member nor someone he shared the house with. Tae Jin had his life and family to go back to.

Tae Jin was human.

Now, he was amazed about something as well. Astounded about the fact that, Tae Jin's caretaker, not once showed up to make sure he was okay and safe just like she said.

She might have had a blast spending time with her boyfriend, so much that she forgot about the person whom because of, she was making money.

Seriously, was the young woman right in the head? How could she leave a kid all alone in this haunted house? Well, it wasn't like he will do anything to the kid.

He was safe in his hands, that was true but normal people will be worried about their work which gave them good amount of money than the time with their love ones which they can have after work.

In Soon's case, even during work, she had the opportunity to spend time with her love one.

She really was lucky Hae Jin had to say. She had both her boyfriend and work next door. And it wasn't even like she would spend hours to check on her work.

'You do know Tae Jin is a kid right?'

Shut up and let me do my job.

'You talked back? How about I create a situation right now for Tae Jin to leave? Then we will see if you'll have the nerve to talk back to me again'

He's leaving anyway.....Just, forgive me for what I said.

'Better'

Tsk, if I can, I'll kill you.

'Now you know I heard that right? Also, please refrain from falling into your dark side, you might end up in hell instead of heaven'

See whose talking.

'Yeah! I'm the author!! You can't.......'

"Hyung"

"Yes?" And he ignored me, smiling at Tae Jin as he answered to his call. Seriously? What's with these characters and their habit of ignoring me!!

Humph, I'll make sure to punish them later! Then we'll see, if they'll ever ignore me again!

"Hyung, what's your favorite dessert or food?" The kid asked seriously. Finding Tae Jin cute, Hae Jin's smile widened, "Oh, and why do you ask? Are you planning on buying me one"

Determined and decisive, the kid answered, "Yes" Oh, how cute and adorable he was!

Hey! Can he be mine? Can you please give Tae Jin to me!!

'...........'

Hey! Answer me!! I know you can hear me!!

'..........Is that how you ask for a favor?'

Tsk, don't talk nonsense if you won't give me an answer.

'You know, I'm right on the edge of getting angry'

"Hyung?" Tae Jin gained his attention as he answered, "Strawberry cake" Hae Jin didn't remember his favorite food or dessert but after years of having the strawberry cake (Left by the old woman who came once every year), he found out, strawberry cake has become his favorite.

But, can Tae Jin afford it? Cakes were expensive right? And Tae Jin was just a kid, how was he going to afford it?

"You know what, you can just get me a strawberry flavoured biscuit. I love that more than strawberry cakes" Hae Jin said, thinking about Tae Jin.

Strawberry bruits wouldn't be expensive for Tae Jin to afford, right?

Hae Jin might not be able to eat his favorite strawberry cake but at least, he was happy to know Tae Jin cared about him.

"Hmmm, okay!" Tae Jin exclaimed happily and Hae Jin couldn't help but smile as well.

Tae Jin really was just so cute!!!
