CHAPTER THIRTY NINE: Old Emotions

Cassius has been absent for quite a while now, and he hasn't returned. Is he perhaps trying to catch some sleep in the restroom or what? I scanned around, trying to catch a glimpse of him, but I couldn't even see his shadow.

"Or is he embarrassed to show his face?" I pondered as I noticed that Mary or Kingsley were not in this plane but on the other ones.

Trying to put the matter aside and focus on myself rather than dwelling on other people's problems, I reclined into my seat again to take a nap, but it's just not working.
