SORA'S POV:-
I had tears in my eyes as I entered Loid's room holding the cleaning supplies. J was a warrior, for the love of the Moon goddess. They were treating me like their personal slave. I wiped my tears and tried to clean up his room as quickly as possible. After sweeping the floor, I went into his bathroom, carrying all of his laundry to his bathroom. I washed his bathroom then I stepped out.
I frowned as I looked around. Did I put his clean clothes away as well? I asked myself while looking around. Shrugging my shoulders, I mopped the floor, set his bed then placed all his things back in their place. I looked at his room, which was completely clean.
I looked at my dirtying clothes and a growl almost escaped my lips. I had pulled a decent pair of clothing out for the academy. I walked toward his bedroom door. As I stepped out, I found him leaning against the wall. The smirk on his face boiled my blood. I wanted to punch him in the face for ruining my day. Yet here he was, smirking at my misery like my sister and mother.
"You must have enjoyed it very much. I thought you would be a good person like your father and brother. But I was wrong." I spoke in a low tone and walked away. I didn't wait for him to respond. I went back to my room and looked through all my clothes.
I had enough decent clothes to wear at the academy every day. But they were all for the summer. Nothing warm enough to keep me warm. I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a huge sized gray shirt. I took a quick shower, tied my hair in a high ponytail, and wore my clothes. Once I was ready, I grabbed my bag and stepped out of my room.
As soon as I stepped out of my room, I found a jacket lying on the ground. I picked it up and a smile appeared on my face. Sebastian yet again thought about me. "May Goddess bless you with a kind hearted mate, Sebastian. May goddess always consider your kindness toward me in your moment of need." I prayed in my heart.
I walked out of the mansion. To my surprise, no one was around. Asking around, I was able to get to the academy. I was late on my very first day and it was definitely not a good sign. Especially when I was trying to impress the principal. "You are late. Are you not supposed to be here before the classes started?" The teacher scolded me angrily. I didn't say anything but narrowed my head.
She was not wrong. "I am sorry. I didn't know of the way to the academy and I didn't think about the time margin. Please, forgive me this time. I will try to be punctual from now on." I apologized in a low tone.
I heard her clearing her throat then she turned around. "Follow me." She ordered and started walking. I immediately raised my head and started following her. After walking for five minutes, we came to a halt in front of the principal's office.
"You stay here! Mr Miller was expecting you earlier. I need to inform him first." The teacher told me then she walked away. I sat down on the benches as the teacher disappeared in the principal's office. It was actually the college level academy where all of the students continued to build their careers.
Five minutes passed, and no one came to get me. I was biting my nails due to nervousness. Suddenly, the door of the principal's office opened and a woman a little older than me stepped out of his office.
Clutching onto her skirt, she ran away. I frowned as I could swear I saw tears in her eyes. The teacher came back and I stood up. "Mr Miller will see you now. Follow me." She ordered me and turned around.
"Did something happen to that girl? I think she was crying." I asked the teacher and she froze in her steps.
"Umm… she…. She failed a class. Principal Miller was scolding her. That's all." She replied but her stuttering confused me. It made sense that not all the students in the college were in the college to study. Some are forced to continue their studies by their parents.
I didn't understand why a teacher would be so nervous when it was the student who failed her class. Shaking my head, I followed the teacher into the principal's office. As soon as I entered the office, principal Miller looked at me from head to toe.
It was awkward. I gulped hard, and tried to stay focused. "You are the new student Alpha talked about. What's your name?" He asked in an unpleasant tone. I looked at his face and found a look on his face that matched his tone.
"I am Sora Woods." I replied to him and gave my file to the teacher who was standing beside me. She passed my file to the principal. He was looking through my file and I was playing with my fingers due to nervousness.
"So you are an athlete, a topper at everything." He spoke and I nodded my head.
"What do you want to continue? Except for literature, you have great marks on all the subjects and your scores are even better in games." Principal Miller asked me in a low tone. It felt like he was not interested in our conversation at all. But why would I care? The sooner I could get out of his office, the sooner I could start building my career as a warrior.
"I want to be a warrior. That's why I kept my focus on the games." I replied calmly. The principal nodded his head then called the teacher closer. I was biting my nails as he talked to the teacher in private.
The teacher walked toward me and gestured to me to follow her again. I thanked the principal and walked out of his office, following the teacher. "A student from your class will be asked to show you around. But that can happen during the break. For now, you should go and start your practice. Since you are the only female warrior, you will be appointed a special trainer." She informed me as she walked out of the back of the college buildings.
"You sit here! Your trainer will meet you here. It's better if you lose the extra clothing." She informed me and I quickly nodded my head. I placed my stuff on the bench, pulled the jacket and the shirt off of me.
It was cold outside. To warm myself up, I started running. I was completing my third lap as I saw the teacher walking toward the ground with a tall man. As I reached closer, I started cursing my fate for playing such sick games with me. My special trainer was none other than my annoying step brother, Loid. "I shall leave her in your hands, Mr Cougar." The female teacher spoke and walked away.
I gulped hard as I watched Loid walking toward me. "So, you were actually serious about becoming a warrior. I thought you were trying to impress my father." Loid asked me and despite the urge I felt to claw his balls, I had to control myself.
He stood in front of me, holding his hands behind his back. His eyes were on me. "Attack me. I would like to see what I am dealing with. And how long I am supposed to play this game with you." He spoke in a tone that angered me. He was behaving like I was going to back off.
"Do you really think I am going to leave it? Do you think I will not be coming back after a tough day where you will be giving me extra hard time just to prove your fucking point that women can't be a warrior?" I asked him and he had the audacity to laugh at my face.
"Isn't it obvious? You women are built to make home, not fight wars alongside us men. Why would you even try to do something your bones aren't built to endure? It's just ridiculous." He challenged me and it boiled my blood.
Shaking my head, I was the second to laugh at him. "You are not the first man who has challenged me. It's never heard before, for a woman to actually join the force but I am as serious about being a warrior as I am serious about breathing." I replied in a low growl.
For some reason, his eyes darkened as he heard me. Maybe I had poked the nerve no other woman ever tried to mess with. He was expecting me to be the obed
ient girl like the others but he needed to accept the fact that I was not from that pack.
SORA'S POV:-I came back home late that night. As I had guessed right about Loid. He was a jerk and an asshole. I was in my bathroom, soaking my body into the warm water. I had soaked some medical herbs in the warm water to help me with the soreness and my ache in my bones. He left me by dusk, alone at the field. Not that I was afraid or anything. But since I was just starting, he was supposed to be there to supervise me.He made me take laps, about ten times in six hours. And that too, he was not satisfied at five or ten laps. The training field that we were in, was thrice as big as a soccer ground. And he made me run a minimum thirty laps of the group and that was actually once. It was frustrating how a racist like him was supposed to be the trainer that I had. Except for me, the field was empty. It was appalling how not even a single woman on the pack wanted to even try and become one of the soldiers, or even try to be one of the guards in the Dark Crescent Moon Pack. That gave Loi
SORA'S POV:-When I was trying so hard not to mess up anything, I cursed my sister for being a bitch. She was my twin and the devil of my life. Sometimes I even wondered if our mother let a demon impregnate her because there was no way she was this evil without a demon's blood in her veins. I was struggling to open my eyes while my sister was enjoying my agony. She was tugging my long black hair so hard.My heart skipped a beat for no reason. Until I felt someone's presence in front of me. “What is going on here?” My throat went dry the moment Loid's voice echoed in my ears. Despite the burning sensation in my eyes, I forced my lids open to see the world. Everything was blurry. My heart sank in the pit of my stomach as I thought of going partially blind. In that case, I knew my dream of becoming a warrior would be ruined. “It's her fault. She didn't bring me the right drink.” Solana lied through her teeth so boldly. This was nothing new for me. She had been lying I guess since the mom
SORA'S POV:-In the morning, I arrived at the training field. As soon as I stepped in, Loid came growling at me. “Fifty laps of the ground, start running. And you have to finish before the clock ticks 9.” I frowned as I didn't understand the reason why he would be so angry. I sighed as there was no use of arguing with that man. I started running as fast as I could. I only had fifteen minutes to complete my laps.I expected to fall down at the thirtieth lap but it didn't happen. Yes, I was panting but so far, I was not as exhausted. Though, it took me five extra minutes to finish my fifty laps. “I thought you would be able to finish it off sooner. What a shame!” He growled at me, making me growl back at him.“We are practicing sparring today. Get rid of your extra clothing or it will only benefit me. Because I will be coming at you, hard.” He growled as he was wrapping his knuckles with the bandages. I pulled my jacket and the shirt off. I was left in my tank top and skinny sweats. Wh
SORA'S POV:-A few days later, after a long and tiring day at the academy, I stepped out and a wide smile appeared on my face. I found Alex waiting for me on his bike. As soon as I stepped out of the academy, he stood straight, holding a bouquet for me. My cheeks turned pink as I walked toward him. “What is all this?” I asked, keeping my voice extremely low. Though, it was useless since I was surrounded by werewolves.“Hi, to you too. Nice to see you again.” He whispered back, rolling his eyes at me. I couldn't help but giggle at the face Alex just made when he was annoyed. “Sorry!” I apologized and in response, he gently pinched my cheek. “I thought I should visit you, since you can hardly be found at home. You are either studying, doing chores or in the field, training with Loid.” Alex sounded annoyed yet again.“In a few days, you actually learned about my routine. I am impressed, Alex.” He chuckled as he listened to me. “What do you say? Shall we get out of here?” Alex asked me
SORA'S POV:-By the time I went back down, I found Solana standing with mom and feeding her lies. “She didn't complete her chores at all. And she went out.” I wanted to stop her because Alpha Cougar was with mom. He was glaring at me for some reason. So I decided to stay quiet and let Solana humiliate herself in front of the Alpha Cougar. Everyone went to the basement and I followed them. Solana was surprised to see the basement completely empty and clean. “Where is the laundry? Didn't you just say that Sora didn't do her chores?” Alpha Cougar growled at Solana angrily. It was amusing to watch her getting humiliated for once the way she had been humiliating me since I could actually remember.Solana was dumbfounded while she was trying to figure out what she could do. “I swear, she didn't do her chores. You can ask anyone around here. She came in late and went straight to her room. She didn't do anything at all.” My heart started pounding against my rib cage as her suggestions echoed
SORA'S POV:-Mom was glaring at Loid. She could no longer control her anger. After all, Loid had attacked her favorite daughter. She was in her defensive mode, standing in front of Solana. Fuming in anger, my mother growled at Loid “How dare you say…” though, Loid didn't let her complete her sentence.“Uh huh! Save your words. I am not in the mood!” Loid growled at mom and turned to me. “You have five minutes to go and get ready. Not a second more!” He growled at me and I quickly nodded my head. I was about to walk toward the entrance when mom grabbed me by my elbow and stopped me. “She will not leave until the kitchen is clean!” Mom growled at Loid while digging her nails in my flesh.I tried so hard not to cry. I was supposed to be brave like a warrior should be. Tears welled up in my eyes as I tried to free my arm from her hold. “And I just fucking told you to tell Solana to do it because Sora is coming with me on her first patrol. Don't make me call the Alpha to bring you to your
SORA'S POV:-A month passed in a blink. Loid hardly let me stay at home at night. I also hardly got time to see Alex. It was as if Loid was doing it all on purpose. I was not complaining since he was practically saving me from my evil sister and her twisted plans to humiliate me. I couldn't let anything like that ruin my chance to reach my dream.According to Loid, I had been doing a little better every single day. Well, that's all he could actually say about me. Or maybe, he just didn't like complimenting others. After a long tiring day at the academy, I walked out, massaging my shoulders. As always, Loid gave me less training and more punishment to run laps.I just couldn't understand what was the need for me to run around the place looking like a fool every time I made a mistake. Shaking my head, I walked back hum. I had a full day planned inside my head. But when was the last time my life let me have a little peace in my chaotic life. For some reason, my heart was pounding so lou
LOID'S POV:-I could hear her sobbing outside. I could bet Alpha Noah could do the same. She was standing outside. She didn't dare to come on. My heart squeezed at the words that the bastard just spoke about her. Alpha Noah stood up and asked me about the restroom. Since I knew Sora wouldn't want to take him to the restroom after what he did to her, I decided to walk him to the restroom.I saw her standing in front of the kitchen. She was facing the wall and I could hear her sobs. I had never seen her like that before. As if she was broken. It angered me that her twin sister got back at her in such a cruel way. “I thought you would have run away to jump off of the cliff. I guess I think too much from someone like you.” Alpha Noah growled at her and I watched as her full body tensed up.She turned around and my heart squeezed again at the sight. It was the most stunning sight. Her cheeks were tinted pink, her nose was red due to constant crying. Her eyes were bloodshot. Tears were cons
