Chapter 12 Jess, You Betrayed Me

Jessica also smiled politely, "I want to help you become the chairman of Wasin Group."

Nathan was a little surprised at first and then smiled in disbelief, "Thanks for your kindness, Miss Bush, but even with the support of you and your family, it won't be possible."

"We can't make it this time, but someday we will make it. I just want to form an alliance with you first."

Nathan's eyes lit up, "I suppose you won't help me for no reason, right?"

Jessica smiled heartily and then cut to the chase.

"First of all, I don't like Cain and Jared. Wasin Group may not survive long after it is handed over to them. My parents and the old chairman are very good friends. I don't want to see that happen. Besides, I hope you can do me a favor."

Knowing that she was planning for something, Nathan seemed to feel relieved.

"I know that you are the nephew of the director of the TV station. There is an Outstanding Youth Speech Show, which I hope can be directed by Gail."

Nathan's eyes flickered, and he said nothing.

Jessica said again, "I promise to help you become the chairman in the near future, but this will take a certain amount of time. If I fail to keep my promise, you can take back the show.”

Nathan smiled, "Don't worry. I just didn't expect your request to be so simple. Okay, I promise you. And in return for your sincerity for cooperation, I will let Gail take charge of that show."

Jessica smiled brightly. She found it easy to collaborate with such a wise man.

The general meeting of shareholders started at 10:00 a.m..

After Cain and Jared gave their speeches, all the shareholders present started to vote.

"If you support Mr. Smith, please raise your hand!"

Cain got cocky. He looked at his confidant, his son, his future daughter-in-law as well as a few old pals, then straightened up his tie and put on a smile, envisioning his taking office!

But Jessica lowered her eyes and did not raise her hand.

"Jess, Jess?"

Adam urged her, but Jessica pretended she didn't hear it.

"If you support Mr. Nash, please raise your hand."

Adam and Cain looked at Jessica incredulously as she slowly raised her hand.

Her slender hand seemed very unpleasant to the eye at this very moment!

When did she collude with Jared?

Cain stared at Adam, who seemed also anxious as if he had no idea at all. But he really didn't notice it at all!

The attorney, Haley Wanda, counted the vote and announced, "Mr. Nash won with 42% of the vote!"

"That's impossible!"

Before people could applaud for Mr. Nash, Adam stood up regardless of his personal image, "Haley, did you count it wrong? Even though Jessica doesn't support my dad, he still gets more votes than Jared!"

Haley calmly stood up and explained, "I'm sorry, Miss Bush has taken back her 8% shares from you, and your vote is invalid. The result is right."

Everyone in Jared's party began to applaud and celebrate. Losing face, Cain threw off the chair and left. He gave Adam a hard look before leaving.

Adam chased out. As Jessica went out of the room, he asked her with an incredibly sullen face, "What the hell is going on? When did you take back my shares?!"

"Adam, don't yell at me."

Jessica tried her best to keep her innocent look, "Didn't Adela tell you?"
