CHAPTER 17

Jace’s POV:

“Sir there is a broken tree on the road. I tried to stop but the brake didn’t work.” it was already night. I had hoped that I will go to the hotel and sleep. Too much for a little wish.

It was dark outside and there was no one on the road except us.

The driver got out of the car. Behind him, I went too. It was already going to rain and now this.

It was a large tree. The locals must have been aware of this because there is only us here. No one else.

“Sir there is a way here.” A path went into the forest. The signboard read a village. “We should go to ask help” He suggested. The weather was already getting rough.

I took my gun out of the car pocket and put it into mine. We don’t know what kind of people we will meet there. “Yes, let’s go"
