CHAP 2

"Do you think you can destroy our marriage? Is this why you're doing this?"

My focus turned to her again. We stared at each other for a second. She gave a mocking laugh and shook her head incredulously.

"You haven't changed at all, Atasha," she snorted.

I stood up with the blanket wrapped around my body. Without asking, I went to Zachary's closet and picked one of his oversized t-shirts. I also chose shorts there and then got dressed in front of them without caring. After dressing myself, I then turned to look at my sister. Zachary was still sitting on the bed with his boxers on.

"Eunice, you are too much of an overthinker," I said and laughed a little. "Destroy it? Can't I just miss my ex?" I smiled mockingly.

"How dare you?!" She quickly came to me and gave me a slap.

I didn't move from my place and smiled. "What? Isn't this normal? I thought it was okay for us to share. You know, like before."

Her face immediately lost color. She looked at Zachary for a moment, who was still staring at me seriously. I wanted to raise an eyebrow at him, but I was more interested in my sister right now.

"Get out," she ordered me as she pointed to the door.

I chuckled. "Chill. I didn't come here to fight with you. Like I said . . ." I licked my lower lip and bent forward to whisper. "I just want to sleep with your fiance."

My eyes landed on her fisted hands. It was like she wanted to hit me again, but she didn't because she wanted me to leave. I simply patted her on the shoulder and then went to the bedside table where my bag was.

Before I left, I looked back at Zachary and smiled. "I had fun. Thank you for making me... ahmm... satisfied?"

His jaw tightened again. "Why did you come back?" he asked.

I stood in front with my bag hanging on my arm. I hummed and acted, thinking as I played with my hair. Later, I shrugged my shoulders and laughed.

"Well, I was not informed that it is forbidden to return to my own country." I shook my head and then laughed. "Why? Are you bothered by my return? Hmmm... don't tell me, you really intend to forget me? Like I never existed, is that it?" I raised an eyebrow and stared at Zachary.

"Your face is thick. Who do you think you are for us to care about?" Eunice replied.

I snorted and held my chest, pretending to be hurt by what she said. "You're terrible, Eunice, as if I'm not your sister. I'm your older sister, remember?"

She scoffed. "Get out, Atasha. Don't act like we're good siblings."

I couldn't help but laugh out loud. When I recovered, I looked at her seriously and then walked closer to her. Just like a while ago, I bent slightly to whisper in her ear.

"Yeah, you're right. No sister can kill her own nephew," I murmured, loud enough for her to hear.

I felt her heavy breath and met my eyes. "You came back to take revenge?" she said boldly, seemingly challenging.

I smirked and dramatically tapped her shoulder. "Don't mind me, sister. Don't get nervous. It's just me, Atasha." I chuckled. "Your wedding is coming soon. The bride should not be stressed."

Her face became more irritated. Furious. I want to laugh again, but my laughs and smiles are enough.

I walked away from her and then walked toward the door. Before I went out, I looked at both of them and smiled.

"Anyway, congratulations on your upcoming wedding," I stated, grinning evilly. "I really hope the best for both of you." Then I finally exited the room.

As if I'm going to let that happen.

MY BODY was physically tired, but I'm still energized. Ever since I left Zachary's condo, the excitement I feel for my plan has intensified. I'll ruin them all. I will make sure of it.

"You're here," Aireen, my roommate slash friend, said when she saw me sitting on the couch.

She just came out of her room, carrying her laptop. She sat down on the other side of the couch and watched me intently. She raised her legs and crossed them over the chair. It's like a yoga position.

"What?  Was it a success?" she asked.

I just shook my head with a small smile on my lips. "Am I still going to slouch?" I replied arrogantly.

The other side of her lips lifted, and she presented her laptop to me. "You're now enrolled."

"Thanks," I said, looking at my school form.

She raised her brows at me dramatically. "You know I don't accept thank-yous. I ordered some food; you'll pay for that."

I just smiled and then gave her my bag. "My phone is there; you'll take care of it," I said as I got up to get dressed in my room.

It's been three days since I got back from America. Aireen has been my only friend since then. She also served as my eyes and ears here in the Philippines.

"How are you after meeting them? Are you... okay?" she carefully asked me as I was about to walk away.

I looked at her without emotion. "I will never be okay until I ruin all of them, you know that," I answered, leaving her alone on the sofa.

I let out a sigh as I entered my room. I went straight to my suitcase, which I still haven't unpacked to this day. I carried it to the bed and opened it. I smiled bitterly when a photo of an ultrasound flashed before me.

My baby . . .

The corners of my eyes started to water. Even before I burst into tears, I immediately calmed myself down, carefully took the photo, and looked at it.

"Guess what, baby?" I started talking to the picture. "Mommy is going to school tomorrow," I added, chuckling.

I stared at it for a few minutes until my eyes focused on another photo. I clenched my fist and took it, shaking. It's Zachary in his professorial attire.

"It's not enough to just break their relationship. That's not enough payment for what they did to you," I promised sharply, then crumbled the photo. "I promise, I will make them all live the same miserable life as ours."

I closed my eyes tightly as anger filled my chest. The memory comes back to me of when they deprived me of being a mother to my own child. Memory where they killed my soul with my baby.
