Or maybe they were just out to hunt other werewolves. It could have been because they found out that werewolves exist, and the threat they posed was too much to handle for their pack.

It was also possible that someone threatened the safety of the pack. They could even be part of the enemy pack… I shivered involuntarily. Just thinking about it makes me nervous.

"Anyway, what exactly did you want to ask me?" I repeated Xavier's question.

In return, he replied in his usual calm voice, "About this…" He moved his left arm towards my waist. He gently caressed my stomach with his palm.

I closed my eyes. As I focused on the sensations coming from Xavier's touch, I realized that I enjoyed it. My breathing became shallow and my heart began beating faster.
