Chapter Nineteen - Tease!

Gabe and I had arrived at our hotel. He had rearranged the appointment for tomorrow with his friend because we didn’t get away from work until four p.m. rather than two p.m.

“I will book us in,” he said, going over to the desk.

I stood with our bags. It was only overnight bags because we didn’t need to bring much with us. Gabe was making his way back to me in only a matter of minutes.

“Come on, gorgeous,”

He takes the bags from me in one hand and offers me his other. I am hesitant for a moment but take it, and he leads us to the elevator and up to our room.

“How about we get showered and head out for dinner?” he suggests.

“Yes, sounds good. I am famished,”
