It was a two-hour drive back to tribe Fianna, the last time I made this drive a few days ago was with Rainn by my side. We had been so sure that we were mates, so sure that we would always be together.
We had come to fetch Fala from tribe Fianna to hopefully find her true mate, and here I was bringing her back as her true mate.
To say that I was slightly nervous to meet Alpha Burton was an understatement, but with his strange disappearance, my own anxieties were of little worry right now.
I could see the deep worry and concern laced all over Fala’s face, my beautiful mate.
I still couldn’t believe that she was mine, I missed Rainn, of course, I would, she was my best friend.
But Fala I mean come on, she’s my fated mate and I’m already falling head over feet in love with her.
What’s not to love, she’s everything I could ever desire in a mate. She’s kind, caring, gentle, sweet, and let’s not forget, she’s fucki

Rainn After Beau rushed me back home to our packhouse in an absolute panic, both my mom and dad were completely shocked by the story Beau had told them. All the while I kept standing there with my arms around myself for support, I was shivering and must have looked quite the sight. Never in a million years had I thought that being intimate with my mate up in his childhood bedroom, would result in something like this. The thought of Beau discussing our most intimate moment with my parents should have made me cringe where I stood, but it didn’t, I guess it didn’t because he hadn’t even gotten to the scary part as yet. Both my parents looked completely confused by the story he was telling them, and if Beau’s mom wasn’t standing right beside me holding me tightly to her side I guess I might have fainted. Because I felt lightheaded and incredibly strange from head to toe, but it was the moment when Beau held up
Rainn The tension was thick in the room, and it was clear that Beau was on the brink of losing control over his wolf. He stood beside me and his body was vibrating as his hands became fisted by his side, Beau was staring my parents down and I felt confused by his sudden hostility towards them. Leaning my hand over to touch Beau’s arm I tried to calm him down, he turned his face in that instant to look at me and the shimmer of his wolf was right there, about to burst through the front door of his soul. “Beau, hey… calm down, what’s up with you. It’s alright okay, just calm down,” my eyes were pleading with him and I could see he was doing all that he could to pull his wolf back. Closing his eyes he steadied his breathing, I remember thinking how remarkable it was that he had such self-control when his wolf was already so close to the surface. It was my mom who spoke up next as she took a slow and careful st
Rainn “Blue.” My answer is nonchalant and completely disinterested as I sit at the kitchen table with my laptop open in front of me, mom raises a brow as she huffs. “Blue and?” Her reply is suddenly laced with irritation at my general lack of interest, but I don’t reply as my mind solely concentrates on my end year essay final, which is due today. Even though our pack is completely separate from the rest of the world for most of the part, we still have schooling it’s just run by our very own pack teachers. This means our schooling is a lot different from that of any normal human, that said, I have no personal experience with what “normal” school was like back before life changed. I was told the day I was born was when our pack completely closed itself off from the world, being right up against the Canadian border and deep within the mountains made it easier to escape the world somehow. Our alliance with tribe Fia
Rainn What is Gaia… what is Gaia… what is Gaia? I keep repeating the question to myself like the concept of it has somehow eluded me, I’ve been prepared since birth and the moment my mother and father discovered the children of Gaia symbol branded against the palm of my hand, like a signature to a debt I had to pay for without even being given a choice whether or not I would actually want to pay it. No one asked me if I even wanted the so-called privilege or not because being born with the symbol automatically makes you obligated to the title. I’m standing before the tall mirror in my bedroom staring at my reflection in a white boho dress that runs all the way down to my feet, the navy indigo lines that crisscross as they cascade down the fabric itself is exactly perfect for me and it hugs my body perfectly it all the right places, making my small frame look more like a woman than a girl. My dark hair is hanging d
Beau My eyes shoot open to the loud panting beside me in bed, still feeling slightly disorientated I sit up with a start as my eyes land on Rainn, she's sitting upright in bed with her hands wrapped around herself, her eyes wide open and gazing ahead as if she's left the present and replaced it with a reality I can't see. Protectively I stretch out my hand to touch her shoulder, but the moment that she flinches away from me my brows furrow with concern. "Baby, what's wrong?" I exclaim as I stare at the faraway look in her eyes. She isn't there, not really. As her face turns away from me she stretches her hands out in front of her as she begins to mumble something in a language I can't place, not until I lean in closer and realize that the language she's mumbling is Gaian. Immediately grabbing for my phone beside me I begin to record what she's saying, she keeps repeating this one sentence over and over again as she seems t
Rainn I woke up to find Beau missing from my bed, furrowing my brow I sit upbringing the blanket up to cover my breasts. Wiping the sleep from my eyes I wonder where he could be, I must have passed out cold after last night. The thought of how amazing he was and how connected I felt with him instantly heated up the clenching knot of excitement deep within my core, I love everything about Beau... His smell. His scent. His eyes, nose, lips... his body, tattoos... I felt the fluttering of excitement dance across my skin and immediately needed him, but where was he? At that very moment, the door slowly opened and the man of my dreams suddenly appeared holding a tray with what smelt like- "Pancakes," I breathed as shimmers of gold began floating across the irises of my eyes. A massive grin spread across his face as he took in my form on the bed, "Hey, sleepyhead, I thought I'
Rainn It was ridiculous to feel nervous about something like this, I mean Beau and I were already mated right, we had already given ourselves to one another right. So then why did I have a hundred butterflies swirling around in my belly at the very thought of us allowing our wolves to mate with one another, was it because of their animalistic attributes that I suddenly had reservations about the whole thing. Again that was just daft right? So Beau had told me to go ahead into the woods, he wanted his wolf River to come and find Kala because River was all hunter when it came to tracking something down that he really wanted. I decided to not make it easy on River, so I masked my scent splashing droplets of scented lavender and citrus all around the area before finally making my way further and much deeper into the thickest part of the woods. If River was going to find me I wanted it to be based on him working
Rainn The moment we got back to the packhouse, as we laughed and jokingly made our way in through the front doors we were instantly met with curious eyes, the eyes of- "Kai, Fala... what are you two doing here, aren't you meant to be looking for..." My eyes immediately widened in horror as I stared at Fala wide-eyed, "You're dad, he isn't... is he?" Grimacing she shook her head, "No, I mean we still haven't found him, not even a trace. It's like he just vanished somehow." Sensing her anguish I nodded as I gestured for us all to go in toward the kitchen, "Come on, I'll make us all some coffee and tea." Everyone including Beau followed behind me as I led the way, and the moment that I reached up to get the cups off the shelf Beau was right there leaning up further to reach them for me. Huffing I shook my head as I smirked, "Sucks to be short, I swear I keep wanting to move
