Chapter 11: Xander and Amara

Azai’s POV

I stood at the open door watching her take off into the woods, I wanted to follow her, but I needed to finish this argument more than anything. I spun around walking back to the table where my father was standing, his face full of shock.

“What do you have to say now? She didn’t submit to you; she didn’t submit to me. She is the wolf that you claim doesn’t exist. She is the Celestite wolf, father. I didn’t want to bring her here; she commanded me to bring her. It is my duty to keep her safe,” I said to him loudly.

“Wait,” Zaine interrupted, “she commanded you? She can command you what to do, but you neither of you can command her.”

“Badass,” Callie whispered before realizing she was speaking aloud.

My father looked at me, “we will discuss this later. I need to go see what I can find on this.” He strode off in the direction of his study.

I looked to Zaine, “take them back upstairs, I’m going to find her.”

I turned around running toward the back porch and shifted midair
