The girl was being sandwiched between two guys as they harassed her. She tried her best to break free from them but couldn't.

They had her mouth covered with a handkerchief so she wouldn't scream out and of course so no one would hear her.

The only reason Mia and Clover were able to hear her scream for help was because the girl managed to bite one of them and was able to break free for a split second.
