Chapter 32

Caden and Avery were in Caden’s car. Caden was taking the car out of the parking lot while Avery was sitting in the passenger’s seat, still flustered. After Caden said that he was taking her on a date, he had leaned down to her and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Somehow, rather than a kiss on the lips, Avery had felt it more intimate and more loving. She had felt her heart beating faster, and she had felt like her knees were going weak.

So, when Caden had led her to the Porsche and made her sit in the passenger seat, she had instantly obliged. Because one more minute of standing could have led her knees to buckle and fall on Caden’s arms. Well, not that she cared, but that would be slightly embarrassing, and she wasn’t ready to let Caden see that whipped side of her yet.
