Chapter 8: Alaska

I glanced down and stared at the money, unsure of what to say. Gamma Shane has always been a guardian angel to Jess and I. He always had our best interests at heart and was forever ready to help. He never treated us poorly.

"One last thing”, he muttered, and pulled out a map.

" This is the map of the six clans in the region. The red dots are their borders, stay off them and avoid getting yourselves killed." He instructed, with a stern look.

He also showed us free territories with green dots. He explained that those are human territories and neutral grounds.

" And this is your destination. " He informed us and indicated a place on the map.

"Alaska!" I exclaimed in a vigorous sign.

"Yes Alaska. That is the safest place I can think of. It's a perfect place for you two to start over. I know it's quite a distance but its worth it."

He rolled the map and shoved it into my hand.

"Go! We've wasted enough time already." He said and pushed me towards the truck. I could feel sadness r
