Chapter Fifteen

Rylee had tricked me and I was so pissed. I had to pretend to have a good time entertaining my guests. I was celebrating the completion of an important project and I was supposed to be so happy yet I found myself pretending to be cool. I had been so understanding with Rylee but I ended up regretting it. She was one I thought was going to go according to plan and help her family out of misery but It turned out I was wrong. My day couldn't get any worse.

The night went smoothly with gentlemen making a few toasts and discussing business. I made a few speeches and we had our dinner silently. I had pictured the dejected state Rylee would be then and recalled dr Nate’s advice. He had strictly warned she shouldn't be put under any pressure but I could care less. She already did.
