Chapter 21

“You saw, didn’t you?” He tilted his head to the side, a look of confusion on his face.

“Saw what, mi amor?”

“What my mother did to me. You saw it all, didn’t you?” A look of pain, anger and heartbreak crossed his face before he hung his head in shame. He didn’t need to reply—his face and body language gave me all the answers I needed. I jumped to my feet and couldn’t stop the words from pouring out of my mouth.
